Thank you! :v:t2: Inserting words to pass today’s test.

So, I received a grinder this morning (Thanks Mrs. & @Mrb53004! <3 ). Will I just dump the pollen that’s been sitting for a couple of days into the top with the teeth or the middle? I feel like this is so simple that I will screw it up.

@kmac03 the top with the teeth. Grind up the sacs and the pollen and sacs will fall into the middle screen. After you finish grinding use a fine brush and brush out the pollen in the teeth down into the middle chamber.

After you brush the top open the middle and lightly brush the pollen through the screen. After that you take the kief catch off the bottom and collect the pollen.

So I got my replacement plants going for the orange skunk that wouldn’t root but have more seeds on the way.

Gold leaf photo seedling going strong!

Agent Orange photo seedlings looking happy. Didn’t get a photo of the third one because it’s in the back corner and I couldn’t get a good photo without moving everything.

And last but not least my White Widow regular photos. These are the only two that survived the stress testing so hoping for a male and a female for some super hardy offspring. Fingers crossed. :crossed_fingers:

Set up the new ac infinity tent and will be starting the autos soon. Things are coming together.

Happy growing everyone. :v::call_me_hand::metal:

They look like they are glowing emeralds. Good medicine here. I hope you get a male AO, too. I only started three.

Alright, I did the deed. I hope I did you proud. My only concern is: I didn’t have a screw top for the bottle, only droppers. I hope this won’t make a difference? I put them in the fridge for storage, is this correct? If so, let me know how I get a bottle to you. If you do, do you want to wait until I see if I get some more pollen from the male? He’s revegging.

Also, do I just discard the empty sacs? (I just wanted to say it)

The refrigerator is the best place to store your pollen ; don’t freeze it or you will likely kill it. Make sure to label your pollen and date it
keep it cool, dry and completely airtight and makes sure to label the Strain / genus

I have labeled and dated it. It is sitting in the middle row of fridge. Thank you for the reminder. :v: :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@kmac03 yes ma’am. Just toss those empty sacs aside you don’t need them anymore. :joy:

You collected it fine and you can store it fine in the fridge without special care for 3 to 6 months. If you want it to last a year or more you have to process it a little and freeze it.

From what you’ve stated about your needs though the fridge should be fine.

As far as sending you don’t need to send a jar if you send me some. Just a tiny little scoop in a little seed baggy or one of those pollen tubes is plenty for one plant. Whenever you’re ready I can send you my address and I’ll be sure to do justice by your HPS stud.

Thank you! Adding additional words here.

@kmac03 put your grinder in the freezer for a few hours, then thump it or scrape off the kief. Afterwards soak it in rubbing alcohol, assuming its NOT plastic or has any plastic parts. Purchase a second keif/pollen screen to switch out when 1 becomes clogged and needs cleaning. Or just have 2 grinders.

Sweet! Cant wait to see you succeed😁 this is what im working toward.

Is she too far along to seed?

@kmac03 how long is her flowering period and how long has she been in flower? Seeds need at least 6 weeks to mature properly so if she has at least 6 weeks left in flower you will be ok if you pollinate.

I had this crazy idea I wanted to mail her to you today. Along with all the pollen. Do you think it would work? I could create her perfect environment.

@kmac03 I would love to assist you with that but right now we are having mass power outages from a big storm and I am currently trying to find a way to keep my girls alive until the power returns. When we have power back I would be more than willing to breed her for you though.

No, no. That’s not at all what I mean. I meant you could keep her, but I understand what you mean. I don’t want to add to your full agenda. I appreciate you all the same. If you would like the pollen, just let me know.

@kmac03 oh i would love to keep her as a mother for breeding but I still would need to wait until the power is back and I have the tents stable again. LOL

I’ll send you my address.

To answer your question, HPS’ flowering period is 8 - 10 weeks. According to my calculations (don’t laugh ), I’m right in the middle with how she is flowering. So, no seeds this go around. I’ll see how my clone goes, she’s still hanging in there. I’ve just planted her next to her buddy.
