MDBuds breeding project

@kmac03 cheesecloth will work better to help it dry. @Mrb53004 is right about the grinders. If you get one with a kief catch you can use it to collect pollen too pretty easy and they’re less expensive than the sifting screens.

I’d be happy to take some pollen off your hands. Hawaii X Purple Skunk is actually one of the regulars on my list from HCC for breeding.

Would you like any agent orange or white widow pollen when the time comes?

I’ve got some reg AO seeds and just started three because I can’t not do it when starting other flowers/herbs. For White Widow, I will have to procure some seeds first. I will do that when I’m able and then hit you up. I think I need a small fridge for my room now. I’m taking over the refrigerator with stuff.

I’ve got some Candy Punch regs, too. I just didn’t want to start her yet as it’s inspection season. :stuck_out_tongue_winking_eye:

@Daddy1971 skunk strains are some of my favorites. I like breeding with them because they’re generally really high in myrcene and and caryophyllene.

She’s a shamanic plant, I’m telling you. Have you grown her before?

So, my grinder sucks and the screen is full of kief that is wasted now because it’s stuck in the screen. What’s the alternative?

No I haven’t grown that cross before. I have grown purple skunk and Hawaiian separately though.

I think the Hawaii X Purple Skunk would be fun to cross with the orange skunk to mellow out the sativa side and see what happens.

I also want to breed it with the Critical Peyote and make a super stoney psychedelic indica. Lol

Yes, please do. It helps put my brain back together.

I was always calling Critical Peyote, Peyote Critical. I’m sure it is, but it’s the same thing, right?

@kmac03 you can just clean out your grinder and dry it really well first if you still want to go that route. If you don’t want to buy another grinder or pollen screens a spare salt or pepper shaker would work to help harvest the pollen. Just crack the sacks open and drop them in the shaker then shake the pollen out into your jar. Lol

@kmac03 yeah it’s Peyote Critical or Peyote Purple. I keep forgetting which one I have and keep remembering it backwards. My rollodex needs to get greased up. :joy:

I only have a pepper grinder, so I don’t think that will work. I’ll just buy another grinder when I can. An alternative, I guess I could cut the screen out and soak it in alcohol?

@kmac03 no need to cut the screen out. Just unscrew the top and bottom and wash the middle part with the screen in it.

Hey, don’t listen to the lady who forgets things. You are probably right.

Now you understand why I had trouble with white gravy. Hahahaha! I haven’t even smoked today, yet. Maybe that’s the problem?

@kmac03 that could be it. My gears always run smoother when there’s some oil in the mix. :joy:

I was doing good up until the last hour. Woke up at 5am, kitchen cleaned, dinner marinating, laundry started. It’s kind of weird for the current times. Now I will go partake. Thank you for sharing your knowledge with me. I appreciate you.

Alright the deed is done.

Hawaii x Purple Skunk pollen. Can I reveg him for more or is he done?

you can try…the node looks like it is still there but then again, my eyes are not what they used to be. Let it grow and you will know for sure in a week or 2

Will it be just as potent? I’m asking because while I’m game to try, should I prepare a separate jar and label it second run or something? I’d like to start getting my stuff together now. In the back of my truck, I was super organized, check lists and all. Right now, I’m an organized mess…

@kmac03 as long as you left some living leaves on it it will come back. Just let it reveg for a few weeks and make sure it is healthy again before you flower it and you will get the same exact pollen genetically as before.
