MDBuds breeding project

Wow. This is like going to Waffle House and watching the cook during the drunk rush. Those people have skills.

Y’all doing time lapse?

@kmac03 I wish I had the camera set up to do a time lapse of my grow but I’m still a ways away from that. I love watching those things and it would be fun to do one of the breeding clones so people can watch the cs work in “real time.”

@dmtscravey I forgot to mention that the Orange Skunk works great for a day time use strain for my back pain, migraines, and back spasms too. It would probably help with your pain too if you want a strain to ease your pain while you pursue your artistic desires.

That would be awesome. I’m getting better at watching/processing videos. I’ve found that time lapses with soothing music, interrupted with instruction, I can handle. It’s not all about me, of course. I’m thinking if I’m struggling, someone somewhere else is, too. Things I took for granted most definitely.

On hindsight, if you have an old iPhone, you might be able to do it on your own. Stand by, I’m going to look up something.

It will work!!! Do you have an old one or does someone else? Get one of those selfie studio things, with the light attached. Do you know what I’m talking about?

I have a video of stop motion daily pictures of my plants from seed to harvest I only missed maybe 8 Days the whole time but I didn’t know if anybody would want me to post that much on this forum. But it’s pretty interesting to see it’s the Purple Kush and the white russian growing together from seed to harvest

I’m all out of likes, but not out of love and I’m following this.

@kmac03 I have an old phone or two lying around and I have a studio kit with lighting, back drops, and a tripod etc… so I’m good there. I’ll figure something out. Maybe just set up my tripod and old phone in the grow room and just snap a photo every day.

You can program it on schedule. Just make sure you show up.

Finally got my aggromax pure UV lights hooked up on a timer. Everything is now fully automated except my watering. Only thing left is to install my IR heater and this rig is 100% breeding ready. Can’t wait to start smelling those terps and seeing that frost so I can choose mommy and daddy.

Had a seed gift show up from one of the growmies for my auto breeding project. Looks like it’s going to be a busy year for breeding.

Got some more red poison auto to increase my gene pool for better breeding options and some super skunk auto. Super Skunk is one of my favorites and if the auto stacks up to the photo I’ll definitely work that in to my auto breeding projects.

Happy growing folks. :v::call_me_hand::metal:

So, this happened. I gently moved him to another room. Just take all the pods and put in a sterile jar? My Female isn’t ready yet.

@kmac03 have any of the pollen sacs burst yet? You want to wait until they begin to swell and a few burst before you harvest.

Yes though. When you harvest pollen you just gently pluck the sacs off with tweezers or your fingers. Whatever you’re comfortable with. Then you put the sacs in a sterile jar or container and let the pollen dry for a few days in the dark before you break the sacs open and sift through a pollen screen. After you sift through a pollen screen you can collect it and put it in an air tight jar or container. I use 2 oz amber glass jars and then put in a 10% rh silica pack and store in the freezer for long term storage.

I am unsure if you can see it, one burst. The shelf he is on is taller than me because Aleister is a jerk and I thought it would make a difference, but it didn’t. Should I wait for a couple more to burst before dismantling?

@kmac03 I just took a closer look at the photo and it actually looks ready to harvest. You have good instincts. Lol

What strain is he?
Years ago we used to mix pollen in with flour to preserve it. Desiccant bags were not as available as they are now. We did NOT use WHEAT flour, the oil would make things rancid. It was great for transporting / stealth

Trust me, no instinct here, but there was a moment of panic.

Alright, so sterile jar, wait a couple of days. Cheesecloth over the top to prevent contamination while drying or do I put the lid on? (Now I have to find a pollen screen. I need this for school, too, and for months I have forgotten about it. Ugh.) I’ve got amber bottles/jars for days. (Let me know if you need any)

He is Hawaii x Purple Skunk. Neatest plant I’ve met in a while. You want some pollen?

Many grinders have a second screen underneath. It can be used as a pollen screen
OH yeah, most definitely
Putting together another little gift bag for you…a surprise
