MDBuds breeding project

@CkNugz honestly I think that’s what makes small scale boutique breeding better. You have more time to look at everything and you’re not on a time schedule. If I had to put a number to it though I keep less than 10% of my plants when breeding.

Each batch gets 100% of my attention and the environment in those small tents is easier to manipulate. If I want it 110f and 90% humidity for a week I can do it simple. If I want to frost test I can drop the temp to near freezing and bring rh down to 10%. I can easily introduce and control pests and then when I’m done and have the plants I want I can easily stabilize the environment for flowering and seeding.

There are perks to being small scale. Just lack of space and funds kind of sucks sometimes. 27 square feet of total grow space isn’t a lot and gosh darn does it get expensive going through all those materials. :joy:

So much truth here. I believe I’m solidifying my divorce as we speak. My hubs is pretty easy going, the space I’m eating up is causing a stink.

Especially considering that only 10% makes it through. Your spending your money to make your own strain that suits you… Seeds are the Gift…Nice!:sunglasses:

@CkNugz also, if you like white widow my current white widow stud (my p3) has far exceeded my last two males and has insanely vigorous hardy growth with high resistance to heat, cold, humidity, and pests. I can send you some pollen if you want. I will have so much more than I can use.

@MDBuds that would be awesome… WW is one of my favorites. I had/…have, the pre 98 version of WW… It was totally different than what they are calling white widow now…, Bad thing it was feminized so I didnt have a chance at male pollen…:sunglasses: I believe it came from the old dutch passion seed co., years ago…:sunglasses:

@CkNugz alright man. I’ll hit you up at pollen harvest and send some your way. You can always breed her back. Just gotta get her stinky as hell again and breed the terps back in.

@mdbuds yeah I would apply with a small brush to a branch, use a turkey bag seal it in., then plant those seeds that I acquire, then Bx it again with the pollen If I can keep it viable…To stabalize…, But if I do that then its 50/50 ours since you gave me the pollen…, Right now I have a few gelato regs going, I was thinking of maybe using its pollen if I get a male…:sunglasses:

@CkNugz I’ve crossed Gelato and white widow before. I got a surprisingly cerebral strain that was giggly and gave a big case of the munchies. Pretty good for nociceptive pain and nausea too. Was pretty chatty but if you smoked more than a bowl you were stuck in the couch. LOL

That’s also how I pollinate myself. Controlled pollination but I also quarantine the lady for a few days after pollinating then rinse her with distilled water to rinse off the residual pollen before putting her back in the flower tent with the others to avoid cross pollination.

@MDBuds Nice!, yeah I’m going to cross it with a strain I’ve had for awhile that was created via bagseeds… GelatoxWW sounds good!:sunglasses:

@MDBuds if I’d cross my NL#5 with your WW pollen I’d have White Lightning… , very tempting, but I’m going for a sensi grow this round!..:sunglasses:

100%, If it were for some of the folks in this group specifically, we wouldn’t have the vast knowledge base to produce these healthy potey meds.

@MDBuds what do you recommend for lab testing @ home for reasonable cost? I’ve never had any testing done b4…:sunglasses:

@CkNugz for thc and cbd potency tcheck is affordable. Better than the reagent kits with the litmus strips too.

@mdbuds I think I should use a tad bit of that white widow pollen, since this NL#5 is a 4 month old vegger…, which passed some stress testing so far…is the widow pollen off a male?, and is it the 90’s widow?:dark_sunglasses:

@everyone sorry it’s been so long since I’ve had an update. I’ve been really busy and hit a few snags but the grows and breeding are still going well.

I am close to harvesting and will have some viable seeds soon to document pheno hunting and stabilization.

I have photos and videos but they’re all on my YouTube and IG.

I’m excited to share though that I have more genetics that came in to finish a few of my big projects I’ve been working on for awhile.

I also have a lot of new projects lined up that I would love to share when I can, but they’re hush hush at the moment.

Hope everyone is doing well. Happy growing folks. :v::call_me_hand::metal:

Got question for you what do you think of these numbers

@everyone I just realized I made a typo in the post I am replying to. Seeds take 6 weeks. Not 4.

@Daddy1971 numbers in reference to what? What is it being used for?
