Nice, I’ve moved away from the buckets, but I may go back since I have a new supply of cheap useable dirt, I got a huge bag of that Kellogg dirt earlier for 8$ so hell yea

Well, I got the ffof, and 40 quarts of the Kelloggs, ordered some seed starter pellets to avoid this annoying sprout and transplant, they will be here by weds at the latest, I re-upped on my nutes as well as got some “big bud” and I I have a germing gsc photo kinda bc I want to use these pellets lol I’m set other than the molasses which I’m considering depending on my cash flow over the next few weeks

@Eggs every little thing i’ve tried all these years to prevent mold and the holes drilled in the rim of the buckets i think works best as the top 2 inches of soil will dry nicely no mold no bugs. when the plants get four sets of leaves i’ll start watering around the outside of the bucket to make the feeder roots crawl out a base to get water. With a good root system even my El Cheapo Grows produce high THC plants above average yields completely satisfying me :ear_of_rice:to the Highest Degree :stars:you would laugh at how little i spend growing my p.s. :smiling_imp: i mean honestly, look at those lights, even i have to giggle

Man that’s the thing, after the initial equipment investment my first grow paid for everything, and I dropped alot of money on crap I still haven’t used, but after u get started the expenses are negligible in comparison to what u produce!

@Eggs i have seen some super buds here. my investment in seeds and the enjoyment watching the exotic limbs you folks grow has been fun to the max

I’m in total agreement…man I piddle around outside growing stuff, but these plants are different…dare I say they are like children? I do care for them tentatively, when there sick I doctor them, when I’ve had a bad day at work n I come home sometimes just looking at them makes me feel better, it makes me happy when there happy, I find joy in watching them grow up happy and healthy, they always make me proud when they do grow up, and it is a bummer when they have to leave me. lol

Ok, so update on the grow, I decided that it was to early in the grow to settle for mold, so I threw those out n started over, now we have two GSC germed and just today started pushing through the dirt, I’ve got a 50/50 mix of Kellogg’s and ffof with 12 quarts of ffof left that I will probably use for the remaining banana kush auto (my last one) I highly recommend banana kush to anyoanyone that hasnt tried it #amazing, I have the banana kush auto germinating that I will grow with these till i flip to flower then I’ll finish the auto in it’s own tent or at least that’s the plan

dont laugh at my store room, that’s not where my tents will stay lol it’s just where there at rn

@Eggs chin up head down. you got it brad. i can tell you’re having a blast

Hell yea, always, I am a little concerned about my gsc going straight into the ffof mix I have goin there, I’ve seen some ppl say it does ok and some say it burns the seedlings

Just water in a small circle around the seedling and send the tap root down until you’re at week 2 or 3 and the plant needs more nutes then water the whole pot to send the feeder roots out. It helps keep the plant from burning in hotter soil.

Helps alot bro, thanks

I have put about a tablespoon of water at the base of the seedling tho, maybe 2 or 3 times so far, I hope that wont hurt, but we will see

It won’t hurt. When I water seedlings I use an actual shot glass. :joy:

One ounce of water at a time with a humidity dome over it for the first few days then I use a double shot glass and do two ounces of water at a time. Mist here and there with a spray bottle just to keep humidity up. Then at the start of week three I pull the domes off and water the whole pot. If they’re ready that is. These ones I just started were ready halfway through week two. :joy:
