So it is mould in those pots?
Man, as long as I been doin this, 2 separate grows in different settings get mouldā¦thatās super crazy
@Eggs i believe so, most the bags of soil on the shelf and in storage sat still during the pandemic being packed and stored on top of each other and wrapped in shipping plastic and not being moved they collected moisture. iām thinking change where you buy. it could be another year before all those bags are gone from shelves
Well I sprayed it with anti fungal spray, I need to get something growing b4 my stash runs out, is it ok to go ahead with the grow? I meen I guess its early enough I can take the infant seedling into different dirt, but my town is small less than 20k ppl, theres no where to get unfertilized dirt this time of year other than home depot
Iāve got a 6 inch in line fan with ducting and a carbon filter, but these pots were sitting in the open in my bedroom waiting to sprout, I think perhaps @DollarBill was heading in the right direction with his explanation, but I have anti fungal spray, can I continue the grow?
@Eggs iām to much of a perfectionist. if things donāt go right i usualy start over. this is aged softwoods, aged hardwoods, aged pine bark and mountain earth close to deep dug sand. Top 2 inches is potting soil cuz i like to stir the top around (rake) that 2 inches to prevent mold which causes nats. so First Week i use a spray bottle to water
if they are auto flower yes let them grow just give them hell with what you know. Weed is tougher than most vegetation
Yes, there autoflower, but my second concern is that I was gonna use the ffof, shld I reconsider and just go with my regular nutes and unfertilized medium?
@Eggs that i couldnāt answer. right now or the first week i only use a spray bottle watering though. with 1/2 a table spoon of Alaska Fish Oil in a gallon of water to boost the seedlings. it wonāt burn or blister young plants. i also plant my seeds in the bucket. i donāt like disturbing my root system
Yeah you can use that for your plants. I use a mix of that and the raised bed with Natureās Living Soil. It works pretty good. You just have to cook it first to make sure you kill any eggs that might be in it just like any organic soil you pick up from a garden store.
Also, fungus in the FFOF and Kellogg is natural. Itās supposed to be there. If you see some white fungus spots on the wood debris thatās fine. It will help your plants root and absorb nutes. Just donāt use anything that has green, black, gray, or rust colored mold on it. Thatās the stuff you donāt want.
So white mould in ur dirt is ok? Or not harmful?
Is it beneficial mold or fungus? Can you take a photo? And yes some mold is beneficial. There is a mold that can grow across your entire soil surface and not harm the plant. It actually helps keep pests away and fixes nitrogen.
It said the white mold on soil is generally harmless, phew, I cldnt handle another setback, that wld of been back to back losses
@Eggs my wife and i normaly grow in her greenhouse but we decided not to this year. Pandemic Reasons as i recall. she grew a few wild outdoor unattended for some seeds and we play in three of these homeade tents with fine success using all HG Cannibis seeds. i do believe after all these years of growing that mold causes flying pests. and most mold is directly related to Heat. these are 48 hours old since popping out of the soil
