Grow journal #1

I have some comphrey tea seaping now will try strawberrys next week. Outside all i ever use on my vegetables is a comphrey+koi pond water tea. Sometimes i will steep off some fish emulsion if i happen to bring home extra bait shad from running trotlines. Usally only do that in the spring though.

I’m like a toddler up too late last her bedtime sometimes. I appreciate y’all for putting up with me. Have a good day! :v:

Pardon my intrusion again, it appears I can’t stop myself.

Are you growing comfrey??

I get some from a old home site were i used to live. The people I sold the farm to are odd though they let me cut lower leaves off when i go over there but every time i ask if i can get some root cuttings they just avoid awnsering me. I should have just dug the plants up before i sold the place. Just never figured i would not be able to get root cuttings later. When i planted them i took a dead 10 in diameter pine tree and cut it into 1 ft logs. Took those logs and made a 6 ft ring around a 18 in diameter oak tree out buy the driveway (simi shaded) filled the bed with aged compost and put in 4 comphrey root cuttings. They just blew up and in a couple years it was a solid bed. One of the really fond memories we have of our years living off grid.

I’m pretty sure it would be okay if you took a cutting since you birthed them. I understand honoring boundaries though. My search continues…

I found some the other day to buy on facebook just did not do it for some reason. Something like 10 dollars for 5 cuttings. Just got side tracked and forgot. Thanks for reminding me though i will look it back up.

See how they get on first. I’m starting class soon that uses theories that are organic and I’m deliberately attempting to restrain myself from all of the things until I know what their standards are, if that makes sense? I need to till up the ground where we are if we are staying. I’ll know soon. I am interested in your process.

Whats funny is I always grew organic but we just called it cheap definitely was not organic on purpose.

I can see your lower buds are not as ready as the upper buds. Sometimes we cut off the uppers and dry them while the lowers continue on the plant to mature. The taste will not be as good as when you dry and cure but you may get a sample of the head it gives you

I am intrigued by the glasses of water. Are those to add humidity?
