The little one here has extremely slowly working on her second set of pointed leaves

Yeah. Definitely looks like the little one was deficient when it sprouted. The big one does have some nitrogen burn though. That will take care of itself in the FFOF after another few sets of leaves and need for nitrogen increases.

Also, your next watering I’d use oxygenated water to help stimulate the roots of the little guy so it bounces back faster. If you have an air stone and pump for teas using it in some ro or filtered water will give it a good oxygen boost and bring the plant back faster.

Thanks again !!!

I agree with @MDBuds most likely a touch of nute burn. FF is a touch hot for seedlings. Oxygenated water helps, especially useful if you soil is a bit compacted, not that yours looks that way at all, but it does help seedlings.

Absolutely lol I know its nute burn, but I ran out of seed starter mix n that’s a seasonal item as far as store shelves r concerned n I got these starter pellets but they killed my to autos or something killed my young autos…my next course of action is crumble like 10 expanded pellets up and use it as regular seed starter in a small pot…GOT TO GET ATLEAST 1 AUTO GOIN SOOOOOOON!!!

Jan 1st needs to come the freak on, bc 2020 has been one big sucker punch to my grow operation, one thing after another…between my last harvest (roughly may) and now I’ve lost in total 7 plants/seedlings and to a multitude of reasons…guys I promise I’m better at this, I kno I probably look like a complete idiot right now!

@Eggs just soil start them in the pot. Use some neutral soil or lighter organic soil like the Kellogg and use that cup method I told you about. Clear out a hole in the center of your FFOF in the pot about the size of a 12 to 16 oz cup (I use an actual cup to do this) and then fill it with Kellogg or a neutral soil. The seedlings will take off and won’t burn and will be big enough to handle the extra nutes by the time the roots reach them.

Yes I remember, so I’ll fill my planter with the ffof, then scoop out a cup and replace it with the Kellogg after I sift out the chunky stuff…easy easy!!

You can even just fill half the pot then put the cup in it then fill the soil around the cup. It’s how I do it. Works like a charm and I don’t have to dig around as much. :joy:

Starting an auto… since all these debacles lately my stash has ran short so I need to get an auto goin to bridge the gap to my gsc harvest ya know lol

@Eggs looks like you did everything right with the soil so you shouldn’t have to worry about any root issues or nute burn. Should be good to go brother.
