I might be able to sex that photo if you can get me close up of the stalk @SlingShot
Two different spots.
It is not a crises. I don’t mind waiting until I harvest the autos. But it would make me feel better knowing it was a babe.
I wish my Autos grew like this. It is two weeks younger and makes the autos look like seedlings!!
Yes im pretty sure it’s female and that’s why i like photos my friend big plants
Thanks. Since I’m going to keep blasting the Autos with 18X6 light until harvest, I will just let Caitlyn stay vegging until then. Two light schedules would be a pain.
Thanks again.
Yes i agree with yea i love growing photos i run my grow 18/6 also i think a plants need rest
Here is where I stand Mr. Reed Daddy.
My Autos will most likely get chopped next week. That leaves me with Caitlyn.
Thanks for helping with her. She is becoming a beast! She is two weeks younger but has dwarfed the Autos big time.
So, next week or so, she will have the tent to herself. Here is where I’m looking for advice.
She is still vegging, obviously. And I’m in no rush to flower.
She will be the queen of the tent in a week. She is growing in MixASoil. Zero nutrients added. Just water in a five gallon pot.
I’m in no hurry for her output so I want to grow her the best I can. I did some pruning a month ago. I topped the main stalk. It split and produced two and they were about 7 inches. I accidentally broke one a week ago while trying to flatten them a bit. I removed the same stem on the opposing side since it seemed out of balance. So, in a way, you could say I did some brutal pruning. LOL
How should I train her. A trellis support? Run one of those mesh nets across the tent and let her grow up through it? Tie the stems back?
To be honest, she has never felt rooted very deep. Early on, I feared she would fall over. Yet, at ten weeks, she still seems a bit wobbly. I read somewhere that Ruderals don’t root as deep. Something to do with the rocky terrain they evolved in?
She seems very healthy though.
Since I control when she flips, I can safely do some topping. She is seeing 20 hours daylight for at least the next week but I can veg her as long as I want.
Kyle Kushman warned that a plant (photo) will double in size once it is flipped but I have lots of room in the tent.
I’ve read a lot of your posts and you answers are always well thought out and helpful and you really know what you are doing.
I guess I will put it to your this way. If she was yours, and you had the time, room, light, etc. and were no rush to get her bud, what would you do?
Thanks
I would start tieing them limbs you have the room and do you have soil left over top dress it put it to the top of the rim with soil.i will show you how i tie mine down what size pots are you useing
5 gal pot.
I have some soil left and when I harvest the Autos, I’ll have 15 gals free.
I would do what you have leftover when you tie the main beam over put you a anchor on the opposite side then start pulling your others over make sure you start pulling easy keep eye on your anchor you don’t pull them over at one pull. pull them ever couple days put your finger start at top and move your finger down the stalk you can tell how much you can pull if you don’t understand i take pictures of the way i do it then you can add net start weaving through the net
Pot topped off with soil. I have them tied down. They are pretty well balanced. I went from side to side to be sure I wasn’t pulling the “trunk” over.
Nice job there you go and thank you for compliment you ready roll
