Random questions no specific topic!

@Rye I’m still learning too man. I’ve met and spoke with people that dwarf my knowledge. Breaking into breeding and genetics on a serious level has been a humbling experience. I’ve met and spoken with people that dwarf my knowledge and I look forward to sharing everything I learn from them here. Thanks for the positive vibes man.

@kmac03 did you let your clones get away from you or did you forget to cull the male after cloning so you could control the pollen? :joy:

How did you know? Hahaha! I posted on your room, I’m not sure where I’m supposed to do that so I chose your thread. Redirect if necessary.

@kmac03 you’re OK. I just responded to you on my thread. Pollen and breeding questions are related to the topic so fire away with those.

good morning everyone I just want to say I started this thread because I often have questions about my grow that really don’t pertain to anyone else’s thread and I thought they were probably other newbies on here with the same problem and that way we don’t overtake a subject with the question of our grow. I think the moderators do fabulous on here I have no problem with anyone on this site I thank everyone for their opinions they’re insight and their humor and I’m glad to be part of this forum.:v::grin:

Okay. Should I refrain from random posting on here? Maybe I should post my very own garbage thread and then I can just ruminate to myself and let the AI mod berate me for hogging the conversation? :joy: Then I’ll like each one of my posts and run out of likes, but not out of love.

I’ve got jokes, but I’m serious. If I need to stop, I will, just ask.

In that case, I just updated on my thread, but I’m putting it here, too. I’m anxious to make space, in case anyone needs anything. I’ve discovered I have elderberry tinctures and syrup, some with usnea, some without. I have to blend them all together, but it’s available. I have appoximately 2L available when all is said and done, might only be 1.5L. Apparently, I was a medicine making machine a few months ago. It’s always weird when the lightbulbs start working again.

Marshmallow root (so much :weary:)
Lemon balm
Lemon verbena
Calendula flowers
Usnea lichen (fantastic for respiratory; needs tincturing with grain alcohol; do not consume longer than five days and cleanse liver; will dry out nasal and chest congestion quickly) - TAKEN
Valerian root (I absolutely cannot stand the smell of this stuff; works like another similarly named medical preparation)
Eleuthero Root (works like steroids, really fantastic for adrenal fatigue and athletes; helps speed healing process; a little goes a long way)
Comfrey Root
Echinacea Augustifolia Root (autoimmune people, use sparingly, will cause flare up if taken internally) - TAKEN
Meadowsweet leaf
Astragalus root
Wild Bergamot (this is fantastic in cooking; use in place of thyme, but a little goes a long way; from experience, this helped me break a fever within an hour)

**MOST IMPORTANT: check for contraindications if you take any of the above internally and/or share the info with your healthcare team.

Also, you had to know it was coming:

LOL I knew that was coming Yes!! :grinning: Now to change the subject I found this box of Bud trimmings from the Purple Kush any suggestions what to do with this has been sitting in a drawer since October I believe so it’s pretty darn Dry.

YES…GET THE LED OUT!
Strange coinkidinks…every year for like 8/9 years in a row. the radio stations would GET THE LED out at a particular time of the year. We knew the warm weather was coming. You break out the LED and my temps were almost 80f in out southern exposure.

Time to get the oven ready, cook them 25 min, 250 f, crush them up and get your tinctures / edibles going. I save some trimmings, especially the little tiny buds, for like 6 mos to have the CBD start switching and then cook and tincture time…This is the stuff I save for pain, anxiety, inflammation

Kim…would be nice to try Usnea lichen for my COPD and Echinacea Augustifolia Root (with instructions for my Wife (auto immune))

Very strange, indeed. I wonder who I think I AM? Haha!

Are you asking me? I’m probably not the person to ask considering I have 3 16oz jars of cannabis tincture I’ve just discovered. Folk method, grain alcohol, sitting since May. Now what?

Its gummie time! Cherry Jello…Have you ever tried using Sambuca Negra? The alcohol cooks off but the licorice flavor is so settling to the system

Make gummies? Hmmm. I have made elderberry gummies before. I would do it again if I had enough dried available, but I have just enough to infuse/decoct for syrup.

I’ve just discovered I have rosehips. They are delicious. I will make a hawthorn, rosehip syrup.

Totally missed this. I’m sending you a whole bag as my friend just harvested some fresh and is sending it to me. It will keep for years. Just make sure you cut it up before tincturing and putting in MB machine. I about burned my machine up because I was such a smart feller one day. It’s called 'Maiden Hair" for a reason, even though it looks more like “Crone Hair” to me. Haha!

Also, I totally forgot no mail today and it just took me until now to figure out why I couldn’t set up pickup.

Y’all…this dry air around here is killing me. It even states in the weather report about having dry air, which I have never seen before today (not that it doesn’t happen). The struggle is real with humidity. In my grow room, it’s hovering at 40%, which is fine for my budding plants, right? I have found if I adjust my humidifier lower, it will jump down to 30% and that’s a no. What do y’all think? Start leaving wet towels around?

40% is perfect when we reach past half way in the flowering stage
