Next grow - Autos and Photos

On my autos and photos I do most the pruning around day 21-28 of flower…. I don’t think I’ve had to take more than a couple leaves on the haze. Mostly nodes down too far and I clean up some of what’s growing to the middle. Maybe a few leaves prior to stretch but for the most part leaf tucking beginning about week 3 on autos will suffice just fine with some gentle bending of the stems out and away from each other.

Day 73 / 28 flower - End of week 4.

Not sure how we are at the end of week 4 already… Time flies when you’re having fun I guess.

Mandarin Cookies r3 (ver.3)

I decided to go ahead and trellis. For this tent the only lighting available is the Spider Farmer se5000 so I don’t know if I would have enough juice to push down low as she bushes, I think its a great light for what it is… A cheap light that has decent diodes, driver, spectrum. Plenty to light up a 4x4 but not really the light she deserves.

And frankly, I don’t generally have an opportunity to run a plant by itself in a 4x4 space… So trellis it is! By spreading here out the SE5000 should crush this plant now at 16-18 inches. I generally like running lights higher but this one I will have to run close and does not get very hot.

I spread her pretty wide while the stems still had some pliability to them. Did have to add a couple more bandaids when I was done. But she looked great and much easier to inspect now. I snipped a few buds down low and they were stacking rock hard…Plenty dense below the trellis line.

week 4 flower prior to Trellis… Just ran outta of height. She kept stretching a few more days than I thought she would and she’s still finishing her stretch up top… But looks like she is fully going into stack on every stem.

Ive never smelled stems that just stink with mandarins like these. It really is a beautiful aroma all over her already.

Top dressed her middle week and loaded the bin where the grandpas stash used to be. She should be good all the way to the finish.

That’s it for week 4 for the Photo.

I finally chopped the last auto on the morning of 95th day from germination! I decided i will run photo fem this run! Not set up for drying and growing at the same time! :yin_yang: Plan to clone the GG fem seedling for a mono run of GG! Ordered some regular seeds so that will be a new experience for me! 1 per EB :ballot_box_with_check:

Hey @Chasworks ! All mine ended up going in a 10 day span from 67-77 days from seed. Ill post some update when I get a chance. We had 15in of snow in a couple hours and knocked my power out for 3 days. The Photo started to foxtail a little but is really close to finished anyways. With the 13.5 hours I started her on and then ran her at 13 all the way to week 8 so she probably has an extra half a week of light anyways.

week 8 day 5

The most prominent attribute of this plant is her intense aromas. she’s stinking the the carbon filters all the way through.

unfortunately she finished with a hybrid lighting in the atrium and a little outside in the sun due to the loss of power.

but overall she turned out great considering being eaten by the pup as a seedling and ending with a major power outage. The sugar cookie sweetness with the orange hits and the gun powder dank on her I guess made it worth the run. She’s not gonna grow huge bouquet flowers but what she does grow are super dense, greasy, smelly nugs. She does branch nicely and if you spread her out you can go 7-8 nodes deep easy and keep them dense.

I will post the Autos when I get some time but I will say both the Pineapple Runtz and the Strawberry OG Cookies were part of a great run. Yield, quality, potency. ethos knocked it out the park with the PR’s.

@Chasworks

Thanks man… Not much you can do about nature except roll with the punches.

Here is some early clip from end of week 7 from down low that I took as I wanted to smoke it so bad :).

Even the early clips are some the the best tasting dank ive smoked in a long time. Its hard to describe but if you’ve had the original MC it is just sweeter and danker. It doesn’t matter what your preference is, this checks all the boxes… The high is intense… And the deepness and diverseness of the terpenes through the exhale is insane.

I absolutely cannot wait for the main plant to finish drying and curing.

Ive been consuming for 35 years and I am just going to tell anyone reading this… Just grow it and thank me later. I wish I didn’t give the other ones a way now.

@Chasworks the great thing about living at over 9k feet is the temps are perfect for growing year around as the air is so cold I can funnel as much in as I need and my grow room is in the shade for most of their day.

The only negative is the aridness but the plants seem to like it up high. I would say my grows now would outshine my grows at 6k feet. They really only get help if the tent falls below 30 rh. I believe Jeremey is correct… you can’t fool nature. They know it is supposed to be arid with the thin air and its better to give the consistency of the natural environment as they will adjust and thrive just like a weed rather than having big rh swings and there is no way I want to deal with running a humidifier for two months.
