MDBuds breeding project

Then make a solution and SPRAY the plants. You can wait for @MDBuds recommendation on How long / often to spray and when to begin
I was never a good breeder. Could make some seeds but breeding is a time staking endeavor, just not my forte’

Yep no breeding here eather just reproduceing some clones. I will leave the breeding to people who know what they are doing.

@Jared if breeding from clones this is what I do personally. 1st I choose my father then I quarantine the father during treatment as you don’t want your mothers contaminated with cs/silver/GA etc… 2nd I mist the father every day twice a day starting at the flower flip until I see pollen sacs forming. 3rd I mature the father and the mothers until they are ready to breed. For fathers this is until the first few sacs burst and are removed then the rest are harvested and processed. The mothers this is until between week 4 and 6 of flower up to week 8 depending on strain. It takes 6 weeks for viable seeds and the more mature the plant/the more calyxes the more seeds you can get at harvest. 4th I directly apply pollen to the mothers using a fine paint brush. This way I can coat every single branch/flower/calyx/pistil etc to ensure maximum pollination.

You can free pollinate as you desire as well but that requires a really tight tent set up with intake, exhaust, and carbon filters to control pollen so it doesn’t contaminate your other sensimilla tent. Just follow up to step 3 and then introduce the quarantined father to the tent.

@Mrb53004 I wouldn’t say I’m a master breeder quite yet. I’m getting there though. :joy:

Sweet advice. I am not using a tent as we have a spare bedroom in one of our houses away from our grow room.

@Jared a spare room will work great. You should still take measures to control pollen though. It can literally get every where in your vents and stick to your walls, carpets, and clothes. You can accidentally pollinate your sensamilla room/tent just by walking in it after checking your breeding room and not washing or changing clothes.

I cannot count HOW MANY TIMES I have ruined a harvest by pollen being on my person / clothes as I went from clone room to grow room after being in breeding room. AND I SWEAR, that stuff was still potent 6 months later…
Listen to @MDBuds and proceed with caution

You slunk that off real quick like. Hahaha! Sounds like the Q word at an EMS/medical place. People will hate you instantly for mentioning it. How long did it take you to learn that?

Very cool. I am going to need the basics for breeding but I will not be doing photos indoor until mid summer. Converting a spare room for that.

I agree completely
There are PLENTY enough TOPICS where we can share our funny stuff but we NEED to try to keep our posts related to the topic. It makes it hard when you want to see all the NEW POSTS but they are just duplicated and not related to the subject. Lets try to keep our posts relevant and not duplicate it throughout the FORUM…PLEASE, PRETTY PLEASE

Got some grandaddy purple regulars and some maple leaf in to add to my genetic pool for breeding. Pretty stoked about it.

Will be doing my colloidal silver video this next weekend as well so if you haven’t already check out my YouTube and subscribe. It’ll break down the dos and don’ts of home made CS and the science behind it as well as the best way to make it for cannabis breeding.

I’ll also be announcing a giveaway soon that’s in the works.

The photo tent is almost ready to flip to flower and the clones are cut. The auto tent is coming back after the cold snap that killed my killer and alien og. Things are looking good.

Love the graphic, very cool. Great job @Kronic, may have to get in touch with you for some work.

Watched all your videos already, subscribed etc and got 2 questions.

1 where did you get the tiny tool/shovel thingy you used in the germination video? What is that called, I can see lots of uses?

2 when did we get to see the cat? You have heard of the cat tax right?

@Rye that tool actually came packaged with the humidity/propogation domes I have and didn’t have a name. I just call them propogation and transplant trowels because there’s a second one with a semicircular shovel and a y fork for uprooting and transplanting seedlings.

The cat will be posted again soon. I have a video of him on another feed. I’ll share some more photos and video links on another feed.

@Rye I’ll be linking everything I use for germination too in the CS video because I will be starting it with my full germination method before making the CS because I’m starting more autos for breeding so you can find it.

Wow, I am officially impressed. So scientific and controlled. It makes my outdoor pollen chucking seem old fashioned.
