I very much understand, more than you may realize. It takes one to know one. As far as videos go, I stop and start so I see images rather than video’s. The flashing of lights and moving images triggers migraines and hypertension. I have to take breaks to slow myself down. I started doing Yoga when I was 13. I am now 67 and still do. I have secured my happy, safe place and it is embedded in my conscious. I can recall it but I must have my environment at the proper “temperature” to do that. Early morning, I can watch but after 2/3 hours, my head won’t leave my head alone
Okay just so you guys know what happened it was a zinc deficiency. I got a pound of strawberries cut the tops off with the greens steeped in hot water for about 20 minutes made a tea cooled it down and watered the plant with it and now she is recovering nicely
And here is a picture of her sister
@DollarBill I love those damn things. Me and my buddies used to get toasted and “sword fight” with them, and by sword fight I mean we’d catch each other off guard and give a good smack with the button held.
@MDBuds my wife just pointed her finger at me and i put it back on the bucket and said i was just trying to see if the red light was on she said yea towards me. The Red Light is On pop pop pop Pop
Oh shit, u crafty old fart, u have the button zip tied down so it stays on for any pest that might be in there…I didnt see that at first lol
@Eggs you have to be smarter than a Nat, i’m still trying to figure out how to do the Car Windshield thing and uh this Stuff ain’t helping, but i ain’t Hurting None
i’m poet that didn’t know itHey guys, will the low humidity make make my seedling grow slowly? Or young plant, not a seedling lol
@Eggs yeah low humidity makes plants transpire more so they use a lot of the water they take in for that instead of moving nutrients around and making sugars.
It’s great to get them to flower and pump out resin because dry cold air makes them think winter is coming so they pack on weight and get sticky as hell but it isn’t beneficial during veg.
I’d try to get humidity up to at least 50% so it doesn’t stunt.
Hey guys, so my dad is setting up a hidden grow area in his shed, he wants to start a cpl plants and veg a bit through the winter then move them outside when it gets warm enough, his goal is to have already decent sized plants to go outside at planting time…does anyone else do this? What problems shld I have him look for if there are any?
My tent lives outside but then again, my climate is pretty temperate. Things to watch for - TEMPERATURE / temperature swings. You do not want it too cold nor do you want large differences from day / night. I run my lights at night for the heat and off in the day but I have ceramic heat lamps (no color) to keep the temps at 70f. Rh - in winter, the rh is different than summer, you must manually adjust it. Cold floor - MDBuds called one of my issues…cold floor affects root. I put a blanket down under the tent and considered a heating blanket. There are thermostat devices that can turn power on/off depending on temps. Air circulation - if intake fan is getting air from outside and its COLD, that can be an issue, CO2 additive may be needed.
These are just some of the things of concern
@Eggs I know a lot of people that do this and I have done it myself. The only thing I would suggest is to wait until there’s 14 hours or more of light every day before bringing outside so they don’t start to flower in early spring and then reveg when light hours increase. I’ve made that mistake before. Another tip is to acclimate first. Bring them outside just for a few hours at a time at first to get them used to the intensity of the sun before leaving them outside. Have to get them adjusted to the UV in natural sunlight so you don’t burn the heck out of them.
I built DARK DOMES. Nothing but cardboard boxes, cut and taped to cover plants. With all the COVID and much of the shopping done by mail, and the holiday season upon us, save the cardboard. My covers are 6’ tall and wide enough to go around my 50L containers. I leave them flapped for now so they lay flat in my garage until needed, then I just assemble. I use velcro strap I glued on for open/close. Not over the top but around the plant. I keep my 12/12 and am planning a Jan1 seeding, tent for 5-7 week veg and usually by February, we got good temps here in the SouthWest. I may buy plastic tablecloth just in case of rain but we do not get much of that here in the desert. As a matter of fact, I think it only drizzled 3 or 4 times this year
@Eggs those look like white fly larvae. They aren’t jumping they’re trying to learn to fly and drying out their wings. I’d spray and treat quick before they decimate everything.
I’m jealous of u brother, I’m south east, I’d much rather a dry climate to grow in vs a humid climate, I feel like its easier and cheaper to humidify than it is to dehumidify…and thank u both for the information, very much needed
Dehumidify is no different than A/C and that means energy bills. When I had a LARGE GROW, we used
https://secure.drierite.com

It is a desiccant alternative and absorbs humidity. With the dehumidifier came labor…watch the pails, empty the pails, clean up the spills, clean the filters, cover the led light with tape (for night time darkness).
