@dmtscravey looks like the strawberry greens tea worked too. The new growth shows no signs of deficiency. You’re going to have some monster plants.
Yes @Mdbuds I believe your right. there’s no sign of burning or Browning on the new growth I will take those 2 damaged leaves off today probably . Thank you for your knowledge it’s helping immensely.
@dmtscravey not a problem man. I’m living vicariously through you right now. I want to grow my White Widow so bad but these autos are taking forever to finish. So in the mean time I’m obsessing with your WW grow and becoming increasingly jealous.
OK today is December 5th 2020 and if I am going to wait at least one more week before turning the lights to 1212 I had to tie the girl down. She was right at 15" tall thought I’d bend her over and that should buy me another week and let her fill in a lot better. The other plant in the 3rd picture is 10" tall. Plants are exactly 6 weeks old tomorrow.
They are just gorgeous!!
I’m loving these white widows they grow awesome! Thank you for the kind words!!
@dmtscravey the way those ladies are looking if you don’t get a 1 lb plant I’d be surprised. Remember when you start flower feeding to keep it light at first so you don’t get nutrient lockout. Also a quick tip for harvest, WW likes to look ready before she is so don’t let her frost and orange/amber pistils fool you. She’s still bulking up and pumping out resin until her trichs start going amber.
I appreciate the advice. I will go light on the feeding I have been doing that already. I fed them once a week ago with a real life Fox farms mix. They seem to be flourishing pretty well so I have not been messing with them much other than the lst and water. They are 6 weeks old today I am going to try and push 8 weeks but probably will make it to 7 before I turn to 12/12 simply because I’m running out of stash and I need to get the harvest going. She has recovered nicely since bending her over And I have to say I think the strawberry tea did the trick
I love their patterns. I bet they smell delicious.
@dmtscravey yeah she’s looking gorgeous. That strawberry greens tea definitely seems to have fixed your deficiency and soil issue. You’re doing great. You could flower now if you wanted and still get a great yield but going for that 8 week mark would give you a lot more.
They are starting to smell fabulous in the dark. I wake up in the morning and my bedroom smells like I cuddled a skunk all night, it’s wonderful! Anytime I touch them they start smelling also.
@dmtscravey one of my favorite things about white widow. Definitely very rewarding. Just wait until they start budding. You barely bump a nug and it’s like you stepped on a skunk that just got done eating some berries in a pine forest. I love its earthy piney skunky berry smell.
Today is 12/10/2020 My plants are 6 weeks 4 days old. In 3 days
I’m turning the lights to 12/12 and we will start the flowering process. Today’s pictures are looking good. Enjoy! Those look great! I’m trying a bit of this on a couple plants to see how it goes. Like anything new, I’m a bit nervous. My plants are short and stocky. Did topping and fimming, as well as some light LST. I’ve never seen plants get so compact and full as what I have.
One question - in some of your earlier pics, it looks like you’ve used string to almost “stretch” the branches in a horizontal direction. Does that help in getting the individual branches to “grow longer”?
As I said, I’m trying a bit of this, but due to space and my “perpetual grow” methodology, I’m taking it slow. Difficult to allow spreading when you’re constantly putting new plants in and out of tents. I currently average a harvest about every 3-4 weeks. Not huge, but I get 4-8 ounces per harvest.
@Bill that’s a horizontal training technique that allows the lower nodes and branches to stretch up as they come in. So even the side branches that get a main top and just little nugs on the lower nodes will all stretch up and become tops. Then when you fim everything those all become tops too. Horizontal training is great for increasing yields in smaller grow spaces.
@Bill you’re welcome. Good luck man. LST is weird at first but once you do it a few times it becomes second nature. @dmtscravey is a natural. I’m blown away that this is his first time doing LST. You’d swear he’s been doing it a while. Lol
I swear this is my first time! All I’ve ever really done is prune and top a bit. But I’ve been wanting to try it for a while. I like to study plants and find the Rhythm in the growth patterns and do what it asks to be healthy and happy! And as far as the string I tend to get in a hurry and use what’s available and that’s what I had on the Shelf when I wanted to LST. You should probably use pipe cleaners or something less abrasive to the plants but I’ve never really been one to do the norm
No need to explain that you are gifted. I enjoy your plants very much.
