Super Cropping first attempt

I thought it was time to give super cropping a shot. I’ll give an update in a week or so.

Nice… Cool gadgets… I generally just soften the tissue of the stem on all sides and just bend her over. Usually just below the lowest branching I want to keep.

This auto (sour stomper) is 24 days from seed and getting into her stretch. Typical of her is the stems will outrace the branching. I idd her earlier today and she already trying to stand back up. Sometimes I’ll put two or three knuckles on a stem depending on how long and tall she stretches her stems.

Then hopefully I can get the branching up to within six inches of the stem tops like on this grape crush a few weeks ahead. Unfortunately, ss generally doesn’t branch as much and seems more main stem dominant so well she if she can stretch some of the branching over a couple weeks.

4 days later… Stretching the branching now. super cropping is a great tool to even the canopy a little.

Solid LST technique you’re running there with the Sour Stomper. Those Mephisto genetics tend to show that main cola dominance you mentioned - it’s just how their autoflower lines express. For autos in stretch, I’ve found adding those multiple soft bends early (day 20-25) really helps balance out the canopy, especially with strains that don’t naturally bush out. Keep an eye on those recovery times though - SS can get rigid quick once she hits peak flower.

Some of the meph autos branch great… Ss the stems definitely dominate over the branching

You can see I could not get the branching to come up all the way but slowed the stems where the lower branching stretched enough to carry some flower. She’s been on flip lighting for a week now since I’m triggering my photos … not too concerned as it’s just an extra while I was vegging the photos

The photos week into flip… so far so good. Hoping not to trellis.
