Still A Newbie - Second Grow

Ahh. I don’t have any CO2 setup. Just a Passive circulation, with exhaust venting out the L side and (passive) intake on the R. It seems to be enough, at least there’s no smell in the room and no heat buildup. I run the wire out the same hole as the flexible ducting. It’s plugged in independently, so it’s always On and not ruled by the Timer.

UPDATE December 22. 40 Days from planting, it’s finished the Stretch (I think/I hope), the buds are forming nicely and feel fat & Firm to the touch (considering the stage of development). Going by expectations of these Purple Kush Autoflower seeds, I’m over the 1/2 way mark. Probably about 35 days to go, but the Pistils & Trichomes will tell the Tale. I intend to wait for 25% Amber trichomes at least, and Lord Willing, may it be quick and soon.

I Upped my game and got a better light yesterday. 1200w Green-Go with more Red spectrum (plus IR) and a Dimmer switch. Covers 4x4 in Veg, 3x3 in Flower. Anyone heard of these? It had 100% on the User Reviews, and it seems to work like a Champ. Built like a tank too, with an aluminum board +5mm thick. Only Warm to the touch. Input is welcome. Hope you’re all having a good Christmas and Holiday season :grinning:

Newlight
New Light Yesterday. Hope it helps.

NOTE: Please pay no attention to the pale plant on the Lower Left. It started out as my Backup Plant, and now functions as my Test Plant, for fertilizing, etc. It’s only in a 6-in pot and was not intended for my Grow actually…but despite its pale appearance it has four Bud sites, all very well developed. It continues to amaze me

I’ve never done hydroponics before, and though I USED to Grow, it was a lifetime ago…like 48 years ago. The entire Game has changed. I guess I’ll stick with Dirt. It’s what I know.

Kmac03 I have bent too much and broke the stalk I keep some duck tape for just such a occasional little problem like that. I have been happy to learn that the tape is on and the stalk will have a knot but it doesn’t stop growing so you still have a happy time. It happens to me a lot but I would have never thought about the duck tape without my mistake. I thought it was going to die if I didn’t do anything so I tried it out and it works fine. Just be fast to tape up the injury. Hope this helps you and anyone else that has got carried away with bending your stalk. I have better luck if I squeeze the stalk first. Stay safe and grow happy.

Go me for just wandering around all this time not thinking once to glue them back together, even though I did it for a living for humans.

Thank you for the tip! :v::tanabata_tree:

If you can find it, the original NEW SKIN, made with clove oil and some other natural antibiotics in a organic superglue. It’s hard to find the original though.

Wonder if there is a recipe for it?

Aren’t those computer fans DC power because I was thinking of using the same thing?

All computer fans are dc. They run on 5-12v. Computers do not run on a/c. A bridge rectifier converts the power from a/c to d/c.

What Mike said: These little Whisper Fans (I call them) run off a USB plug. I use the standard charge cube for IPhones, to power them. However, now that my plants have grown, there’s not too much visible air flow (wind action upon the leaves). Soon, I will have to Up my game a bit and buy a little desktop oscillating fan.

When I was a teenager, I stripped a computer tower to all its insides and used its power supply box to run 2 cfl uva/uvb and 2 computer fans…it was my stealthiest grow but my parents would still question the computer box in my room that never seemed to stop (humming) as they would say…I had to cut them off when my older brother found out and beat my ass…now we smoke together and he’s always asking for gummies haha
