My passion is Photography and sometimes pictures speak louder than words, enjoy taking images of these plants.
2 days ago the plants were 93 days old. When I was in there I cut a small bud off the sour diesel and hung it a foot above the lights.
Today they are 95 and I brought my bowl along with me and lit her up. Took 2 hits and did my maintenance of the girls. By the time I was done with that I could feel a good buzz coming on. I am writing this 3 hours later and just took another hit and feeling focused now.
This is her below. Yeah I got pic happy too.
Some tric shots.
A gelato bud from the tree.
Her Tric shot.
Having a fun time raising these plants. A couple more shots of my current high, until next time.
We are having a cool spell and the tent is running 67F with the lights on. Last night I gave the 2 Gelatos nutes along with the youngest Sour Diesel. Today on the checkup there is a noticeable change to the plants as the are changing hues with some purples coming in the Gelatos. I assume because of the 45F nights. At this point I think that will be the last feeding they receive. The younger SD will get more though. The “Queen” is looking rough now as all fan leaves are gone but her buds are doing good yet. About 3 more weeks for them to finish as the are in week 6 now. Will check trics on the other 2 SD tomorrow. Looking for amber to show any day now
Wow went to check on the tent today and what color from the Gelato. Tent temps 67 lights on upper 40’s lights off. Some nute issues maybe but most cool temps, should make for nice looking buds.

The sour diesel is looking good yet and colors are still popping nice
The large Gelato looks good from above in colors.
Today the plants are 100 days and am thinking of harvesting the center cola of the sour diesel today. The trics look good and milky on most of the bud. Sampled a 2 day old bud again and getting the effect I like. Potent enough for me.
To me doing a small taste test is the best way to find out if it’s ready. And she is a two hit wonder that lasts a few hours.
Here is a Sour Diesel Auto. I just partial harvested the center today. My memorial 911 smoke. She is 100 days old today.
Daily checkup on the girls ends in a barrage of pictures of buds again. Ran a smaller bud from the 2nd Sour Diesel through the dehydrator and have already sampled it. This plant will be coming down soon too. No water today as the cool temps have slowed their consumption down now. I see a lot of people on the forum that freak out over their leaves having issues. I was concerned at first but then realize part of the plants natural course is to go through different stages. A long as they kept growing I did not panic of start playing with the soil. Feel too many turn this into a science and miss out on the fun of watching them grow.
Gelato’s next 6 pics.
The youngest Sour Diesel (Finish date late October Will be close.)
The second SD I have sampled recently.
The SD I preformed surgery on is still looking good. After removal of the cola it revealed a younger bud that can now receive light.
this concluded my first ever attempt at growing. I ended up with a little over 8 ozs total and some of the best smoke I ever had. Well worth the investment and time spent and so rewarding too. Hope you enjoyed the diary. Started a second diary of Grape Ape in progress now. Take care everyone and happy grawing.
Thanks @Lynyrdsky for the pics. Your grow really shows how different one plant can be from the next. Can I assume that the gelatos tasted and felt similar, as did the SDs?
Yes they did taste the same and same high. I loved the gelato the flavor reminded me of hash and what a relaxing high. The sours were an excellent energetic high and with a good cup of coffee watch out world
Thanks for getting back to me. I couldn’t find this site.
The taste and effects tell you that the seeds were what they say. For whatever reason cultivars vary from seed to seed.
