First time grower with a few questions

@Mackerel 350 should be ok for one or two plants. Sometimes it has to do with finding the Sweet Spot of the light. Every light has a sweet spot where it gets the most PAR and DLI …try this Photone :point_left: it’s a Free smart phone app for grow lights. Use the camera lense exactly over the top of your plant and not the whole phone. look for that sweet spot. sometimes it’s not exactly in the middle. And one thing Weed Growing teaches is that perfect is when you and only you are satisfied. i like that part mostly because i’m lazy  oh and you don’t have to calibrate Photone to your phone anymore. just put the camera lense exactly over your plants top or middle of your plant if large. Not the whole phone. this one in the sweet spot is 325 PAR at 20 inches and a Regular Photoperiod and smelling chocolate. if you start losing plant strain smell your light may be to close20211216_164856

@Mackerel i had it all wrong trying to use the middle of my phone screen. then it hit me to middle the camera lense over the plant. no matter the light each has a sweet spot even if people have multiple plants under one light. there’s only one sweet spot on each light. so get another light exactly like you have for two sweet spots. if you buy a stronger light you’ll still only have one sweet spot. You’ll do fine with another the same as you have and have two side by side sweet spots instead. after the plants get large from training and pre flowers begin it’s so fun watching day to day, they pretty much grow where they want

My only problem is I’m limited on space. I have a 3x3x6 tent in my bedroom. So adding another light is no go. I will just work with what I have until I have the room to go bigger and better. I just love to see a marijauana plant grow. It’s so amazing to see. Plus I love to smoke too lol. I might try my hands at some edibles some where down the line.

I figured I might have been overwatering a bit. Not my the amount of time I water but the amount in which I was watering. So after they dry out I will try to improve on my watering.

The one the dog bit seems to be striving. I have high hopes for. I look at it like this, my dog had the balls to do what I was afraid to do lol. She said it needs to be trimmed…

@Mackerel imagine outdoor grows like having just 12 big huge bushes for anything to trim  feel better?

With LST, it’s useful to keep the eye on the donut. We are here for the weight on the scales. Our plants try to push all the good stuff to the top of the plant, where the sunshine is, to make flowers. Something to do with the fluid pressure inside the plant, it sends the good stuff to the highest bud sites. If you artificially “promote” a second tier bud site to “top”, by tying down the natural top, you’re signaling the plant where to send the good stuff. If you do it right, you can end up with five or nine wannabe tops turning into colas. It’s a fast process with autos, but that’s the magic trick. It’s all about gravity and height of bud site relative to others that makes the plant treat it like a top.

Just a little update. So since my dogs decided to eat my plants for lunch they haven’t been the same. Plus I think I was over watering a bit. And I also think I was trying to do too much at once. That’s the anxiety I guess.Today is the best they have looked in a while. I was going to give up on them but I’m not a quitter lol. Any thoughts.
This jane she she got it the worst.

This is Mary

I started another seed this one is a girl scout cookie. I will be more attentive and more careful with this one.

@Mackerel after all she is a weed and weeds thrive under stress most times…they are recovering and may not be picture perfect but they still will produce for you

@Mackerel you are probably right about the overwatering. “Clawing” leaves is a sign of that. Overwatering can cause all sort of problems that look like nutrient deficiencies or other problems.

Get a feel for the weight of your pots. Water is a lot heavier than the soil and plant and you’ll be able to tell better where they are at.

Yea i think @CurrDogg420 hit it right on get a fill of your pots start soon as you put your plants in and you be able to get a better idea of what they need

Id just let em be for a while, see how amazing things happen when we step aside. Yesterday I found one of my clippings in a pot thats been out back for a month has rooted and actually has new growth. Its been 30s at night 50-60s daytime… Rained for 3 days last week  they ARE just weeds and will find a way to survive if they want.
