@Darkheart420 we bought a Home Depot also planted it next to those we bought and they took off. You think like us
have a Resty Night iām poopt tired and High as a Hoot Owlš
Goodnight Bill.
Dream of giant frosty budsā¦
This is the best place to hang out on this forum. Beautiful plants! I appreciate your sharing the knowledge about perlite and clones.
Wow. What a lovely complement.
I work very hard on my garden so I appreciate that.
I was really lucky to fall in with the group of growers that I did. I owe them a great deal.
Just dropped a Green Crack seed in some H202 and tap water.
I use H202 because it is a debriding solotion that will sterilize the outer coat of the seed and soften the resin (tiger stripping on the seed).
It starts breaks down harmlessly into itās two components of H20 and 02 within 24 hrs and is completely inert by 2.5 days.
I keep my seeds that are soaking in a warm place. In the winter it is my hall closet that sits next to my furnace.
I should have a tail by tomorrow morning.
She will be out directly into Pro Mix after her tail is at least 1/4" long.
Think Iām gonna try the Geoflora organic nutes on her.
Alsoā¦
I talked to the gent that I got the GG4 from.
I guess it has a shorter flowering time on her.
I watch the plant for harvest and donāt rely on breeder estimates but itās nice to have a heads up at the same time. She may only have a few weeks left on her. She is still pushing pistils and bulking up.
Patience is the name of the game but nonetheless Iāll start scoping trichs this week.
I want a little amber on this one as she leans slightly sativa or so Iāve been told.
I use cannabis for chronic pain so I want some of the couchlock so I can rest deeply at night.
I did sample some product that was sent with the clones. I think he said he harvested at 20% amber but Iām going to confirm again.
It was just about what Iād want for this particular plant. Heavily sedating stone and great pain relief. I was still able to sleep well and had no paranoia.
I do have other GG4 clones that I can experiment harvest times with later on.
Oh. Did I mention that I dropped a box on my Kalashnikov? I was putting up a new 4" ac infinity fan in my 2x2 and my little dog got tangled up in my feet. I dropped an empty ( thank goodness) box on my plant and damaged her two top branches. No worries. I know exactly how to deal with this sort of thingā¦
Yup. I used Elmerās non-toxic school glue. Worked like a charm.
She is just fine and growing like nothing ever happened. They do amaze me with their resilience.
Hope yāall are having a great weekend so far.
I agree with being appreciative of your mentors, but donāt forget to appreciate your Self, too. It takes a lot of discipline and you are now teaching others. The Butterfly effect. Always awesome when that happens.
Nice plant
Glad you glued it back to health
LOLā¦what a fun story to share
Glad you were able to save the plant! As others have said, mentors are awesome, but donāt forget to respect your OWN passion and driveā¦They can teach or as Yoda one said āDo or Do notā¦There is no try.ā Your mentors can TEACH, but only you can apply the drive, the devotion and the Love into what you do, and THAT my friend is what makes truly great plants! The āintentā of positive affect and effect.
Peace,
Jackie
Hey @Darkheart420! Just say this post or I would have responded sooner. Here are a few pics:
Bird of Paradise flower from last year:
Red and Yellow Hibiscus:
Aloe Vera (grown from a 4" plant - see ābabiesā below):
Peace Lily:
Baby Aloe Vera plants (from the large plant above)
Orange Hibiscus that morphed from yellow to orange:
Bird of Paradise plant outdoors in the summer (this plant has 8 flowers that will bloom this year!):
A few of my orchids (many got infected with ācrittersā so had to pitch them):
You have a beautiful flower room.
I suppose Iām extra thankful because my mentors have turned out to be such fantastic friends aside from the growing.
I have been paying their kindness forward.
Iām more than happy to help anyone with their grows and Iām pretty good at troubleshooting problems. On a normal day Iām doing just that over a few different forums.
I try to stick with the scientific community and stay away from the ābro-scienceā as much as possible.
Iāve used 4 different kinds of tape, school glue and even a fabric bandage to fix my girls.
The glue worked really wellā¦
She didnāt skip a beat.
Hope youāre having a good week Kris.
Iāve always been into plants.
I used to garden with my Nana and learned a lot early on.
I love succulents, carnivorous plants and have a decent sized vegetable and herb garden but my real passion lies in cannabis.
I have drive. I sold my Volkswagen to buy my first 2x4 setup and quantum board. Iāve worked hard to earn the rest. I donāt have a lot of disposable income so in the last (almost) three years Iāve aquired over 50 strains without spending a dime.
That doesnāt include my first grow of some bag seed. I had to buy the buds that I found those in.
I built my own flowering closet as well.
Iāve double my grow room space in the last 6 months and have gone from a few plants to a perpetual grow
I love this stuff!!!
@dmtscravey @Khatru @Adcrag
Thanks for the compliments.
I hope yāall stick around and we can get to know each other a bit better.
This seems like a nice forum with some great folks.
Sorry you had to toss the orchids. They were gorgeous.
Love the tropicals. I had a dinner plate hibiscus. The blooms were 16" across. We had a really harsh winter and it parishes sadly. It was a cold hearty varietal.
Is that a Christmas cactus in the background too?
I really need to pick up a new aloe plant. My last one got eaten by the dog. It did really bad things to his stomach. Lol.
Thanks for sharing those pics. Especially the bird of paradise. So beautiful.
