Best Strains to grow in the North (Michigan)

Anyone on here from the North? I am in Michigan in the 5B climate zone.

I wondered what strains people have successfully grown in the North? Just curious.

@rodenya01 There’s a few from that area and I know @Highigan is in Michigan. But generally those climates are great for Kush, Diesel, Durban Poison, Jack Herer, Blueberry, or Haze strains. That excess humidity out there really bud rots certain strains. So you’ll want those coastal strains that can stand high temperature changes both hot and cold, like northern California strains, or your New York Sour Diesel and Durban Poisons that really can handle that rigorous change. Northern Lights and Skywalker OG will be suitable too.

In Michigan, we are allowed to grow 12 plants, so here is my planned line up for 2021:

Guerrilla Glue #4
Guerrilla Glue Lemon
Wedding Cake
Pinconning Paralyzer
Super Lemon Haze
Purple Thai
Strawberry Cough
Bruce Banner
Gelato 33

Pinconning paralyzer I haven’t been able to find that anywhere. Last time I smoked I was out cold. Had people pounding on my door, I couldn’t move.

I got Pinconning Paralyzer seeds from a local dealer herein Michigan that’s been growing for over 30 years. I planted my first seed about 2 weeks ago, so I am hoping it turns out to be anything like the rumors are true about Pinconning Paralyzer - that it knocks your a$$ out cold. LOL.

Damn, us northerners ( Canada) are allowed a lousy 4 plants. The gentleman who posted the question doesn’t mention whether he grows in or outdoors. I assume from the question it’s outdoors. Myself, I’d go for the Gorilla Glue, Power Plant & as you said, most Indica strains grow good here & I’m another hundred or two miles farther north.

Yes, it is an outdoor grow. Here, is my list thus far:

Guerrilla Glue #4
Guerrilla Glue Lemon
Wedding Cake
Pinconning Paralyzer
Super Lemon Haze
Purple Thai
Strawberry Cough
Bruce Banner
Gelato 33

About half are indicas. Time will tell how each strain does in Michigan this coming year. Either way - it is fun growing.
