Ran across this some years ago on a trip to Bhutan. The king’s stated goal is “Gross National Happiness”, yet cannabis is illegal. Unlike neighboring India and Nepal, this ethnic Tibetan society has no weed culture. They have school kids go through the farms pulling any cannabis they find. Guess they missed this patch in front of one of the Buddhist country’s main temple complexes.
