if there is a lot of humidity, it sets them up for bud rot. I have used umbrellas to help deter the big rains. If you have air circulation, then the air will help dry them to prevent mold. Otherwise you need a mold preventer / protectant
I would stick with organic based /nano micelle since you are into flower. You do not want oils, sulfur or other chems that will affect the buds (burn/change flavor, kill, taint)
