This grow, I managed to get the stretch under control, as tied down GSC autos stayed on the stumpy side, distributing flowers more widely around the plants.
Imagine my surprise when I chopped a whole plant, ready to hang it in the drying cabinet.I had thought I’d hang branches as I usually do, so as I sawed through the stump with a hacksaw, the aroma burst forth as the stem was cut. At that moment I decided to hang it in one piece, with hopes of some of that good stuff going to the flowers with the stump cut open. What I do know is, the aroma is so intense in my apartment right now, I turned the AC on with a window open to change the air, lol. I chopped a sister plant 9 days ago, jarred it this morning. Can you say gumdrops dredged in sugar? The test bowl is rated “wow”. Gsc auto.

On the Chop and Drying

When I chopped the first plant, it had big, conical colas, and even the lower buds were plump. Upon drying, there was lots of evap, and the buds have lots of now brown hairs, but not tons of sugar leaves. The plant was done, stick a fork in it, not drinking any more water, before 11weeks. The shorter of the two tied down LST plants. Yield not overly impressive, smoke respectably potent, comparable to twenty percent dispensary flower.
The second plant, the one I didn’t keep from stretching as much, but still more bush than tree, ended up with a massive number of buds, nice bong bowl sized buds on the bottom sucker branches, and densely spaced buds all over its compact frame. These were twelve and a half week, nicely dense green with a splash of orange. After drying the whole plant in the dry box for nine or ten days, until small branches snapped, I just butchered that puppy with scissors. It’s so sticky, I didn’t want to touch the buds, so I ended up lopping off clusters with the scissors, two and a half quart jars of the stickiest Gsc auto imaginable. It’s right up there with the twenty four or five percent store herb. About two hits will do a daily smoker.
Congrats on the Harvest, sounds like you have a good amount of Smokable weed for your jars! Should increase in potency with the Cure.
