Stems are too leggy

Hello experts! I am trying to grow fem outdoors where they get partial sun. They are about 7-8 weeks and leafing out nicely. However the leaves are in way better shape than the stems. These plants are leggy and the stems are looking like they could break from a strong wind. I have them in pots to try to manage their sun exposure. What do you recommend?

silica …Builds strong stems.

Silica is great….I use the horticultural aloe through veg.

Sounds more like a light issue…not much you can do outdoor with that. As summer deepens they should get a bit more light and sturdy up.

How “partial sun” is it?…how many hours direct sunlight?

Also some plants can’ be a bit leggy/flimsy until they start stacking and the stems become more rigid. You could set up a trellis/ support system around them also.

I live in an area with lots of trees. By keeping them in pots I can move them from one sunny area to another. I think I may have fixed the problem by transplanting them into deeper pots. All told, I think they get about 6-8 hours of sun on a good day.

If only 6-8 hours a day, I’m going to agree with the sun issue. Good luck!
