Had a successful harvest! After 63 days of flower, the purple kush and white widow clones were ready. 2 days in the dark with no water and a wet trim later, the following are some pics just before putting them in a drying tent.
White widow before wet trim
Purple Kush before wet trim
White Widow (2 plants)
Purple Kush (2 plants)
Some small nugs that “fell off” during wet trim
Everything is dry and jarred up. Final weights weren’t too bad:
White Widow
65 grams bud
22 grams shake
Purple Kush
63 grams bud
20 grams shake
Tried some of each of the above and WOW - some of the strongest bud I’ve grown! I keep tweaking my grow/dry/cure methods and the yields keep increasing, so I must be going in the right direction.
So here’s my GG#4’s, my question is can I remove any lower branches or what should I do with them alil help please @Mrb53004 @MDBuds @20210526_182933|225x500
!Hey @Hippy1978
Are they in their final containers?
If they are, you can remove the lower branches. It’s called lollipoping.
If they are going into larger containers, I’d wait until then to remove them so you don’t over stress them
It looks like you have them very well trained. I would not remove anything except the first node, tight above the soil. If the tent is crowded and they shade each other, then I would consider one more node. Work from the bottom up, and wait 3/5 days for recovery before you trim again. Then on the remaining branches (not the apical), clear out everything except the flower at the tips of the branch/es. Like Khatru says, we call it lollipopping becasue when you are done, looks like a marijuana lollipop…a stick with a bud on top
@Mrb53004 I’m been keeping those in my cabinet, on 20/4 since I switched my tent to 12/12 on the 13th
I’ll post of that beautiful mess shortly, after you switch to 12/12 is a safe to nit pick an cut out alil here an there on my Mac1 plant you’ll see when I post a picture haven’t an didn’t have alot of time to prune b4 I flipped the switch I did alil but clearly not enough
Here’s the cabinet 1 Mac with the GG4’S but I take the Mac out of here because she is to on 12/12 just no room in the tent
Harvested the two purple haze plants. Quite a bit from two plants! Total weight of trimmed buds was 20.6 ounces (wet). 69 days of flowering! They’re in the drying tent now…
Beautiful mess? What??
Nice, hey you don’t have any extra or anything do ya lol
Your plants are beautiful.
I’m going to take a nap now. Sorry!
