Are you sure? The instruction on mine says it can only work if the filter is sucking the air into it. So the arrow has to be exactly the opposite way.
Do you still think it’ll work? Thanks for you advice!

I know it’s a hassle to pull the ventilation system out. I would take it out and look for the air flow arrow on the fan housing. Point it in the direction of the filter and connect it. While you have it on the floor, turn it on to confirm air flow. If you can feel the air pulling in then it should be going through the filter. Then connect the house through the upper most part of the tent. Most have an area right on top. When the plant starts to flower it will start to smell. If the carbon filter is working correctly you should not smell anything outside the tent.
What type of carbon filter do you have. Most are basically the same and can be configured on both directions.
I was looking at the make of your grow tent and it looks to be a Diamond Box brand. I am assuming you purchased the exhaust kit from the same place. To know for sure I sent a message to the company to verify the filter works in both directions. I am sure it does, but for peace of mind I’ll let you know there response.
Cheers!
Legend!! Thanks for the help! I purchased it as a whole set so it should be the one from diamond box
I’ll try to change my setup immediately if it works!
Greetings
Hello, they did respond to my inquiry. Looks like it will work. They did ask what type of filter it was.
Here is a copy of there response if you’d like to contact them further.
Happy growing!
thank you for your message.
Yes that can work, but that depends on the items involed. Specifically carbonfilter and extractor.
Which items do your have? You have linked to a growbox here… maybe you had purchased a complete kit that includes this box?
There is unfortunately no reference to carbonfilter and extractor.
Best regards

Thanks so much! I just sent them a message with the exact components I use. With their next response, I should have the final answer I guess I’ll make an update as soon as they respond.
Thanks for your help! Happy growing as always!
Consider switching to the flowering stage soon, as your cannabis plant is approaching half of your grow box height. Monitor for any signs of stress, ensure proper nutrients, and maintain a consistent light cycle for optimal growth.
Contemplate transitioning to the flowering stage promptly, given that your cannabis plant is nearing half the height of your grow box. Keep a vigilant eye for any indications of stress, verify proper nutrient levels, and uphold a consistent light cycle to facilitate optimal growth. Additionally, consider propagating a conducive environment for your plant’s flourishing development.
Pull it & start anew, keep trying dont give up & read…
Hey there! Congratulations on your first grow—it’s always exciting to see those little plants thriving, isn’t it? Given your limited space and the current height of your plant, here are a few friendly tips to help you decide when to switch to flowering and ensure a successful harvest:
Space Consideration: With a 3ft tall grow box, you’ll need to keep an eye on the final height of your plant. Cannabis can double or even triple in height during the flowering stage. You might want to switch to flowering soon to avoid outgrowing your space.
Vegetative Growth: Your plant is currently 42cm (1.3ft) tall and has been in veg for 18 days. Typically, plants can veg for a few weeks to a couple of months, depending on the strain and space. Since you’re limited by height, you might want to transition to flowering sooner rather than later.
Flowering Timing: Generally, you can switch to flowering when your plant has reached about half the height of your available space. In your case, since your grow box is 3ft tall, you might want to consider switching to flowering when your plant is around 1.5ft tall.
Training Techniques: To maximize yield in limited space, consider training techniques like low-stress training (LST) or sea of green (SOG). These methods can help you manage the plant’s height and increase light exposure to the bud sites.
Monitor and Adjust: Keep a close eye on your plant’s growth during the flowering stage. You may need to adjust your lighting, nutrients, and watering schedule to ensure optimal conditions for bud development.
Remember, every grow is a learning experience, and there’s no one-size-fits-all answer. Good luck, and enjoy the journey! If you have any more questions or need further advice, feel free to ask. Happy growing!
Top her.
Then top side branches when they reach up high enough.
Cut off lower chutes on branches that are low and starved for light.
This distribution of plant energy changes to side branches when topped and cutting side chutes on lower branches encourages those to stretch.
Lose the net as it gets in the way
I suggest using ties for extreme side branch support.
I personally wrap a tie all the way around the lower branches and one side holds up the other.
No net needed.
Good luck
Hi there, Thanks for Sharing, First grow that’s cool! Okay so you need to flip to flower quickly with such limited space. Plants often double or triple in height during the flowering stretch, so you have time enough to do so. You’re getting close to your grow box’s limit at 42cm in veg, so flipping within a day or two would be a good plan. Some LST for height control and to make optimal use of the space. Watch out for lights under the canopy to prevent any light burn as she stretches! I hope this helps you,
Vegging air temps up between 85-88 depending on what she likes.
Humidity at 50-60%
When switching to 12/12 and flowering, you create fall conditions.
Target temperature no higher than 78 day temp, lights at full, and humidity pulled down to 45-55%RH
Night time temperature target 8-10 degrees cooler.
When they get bigger, like two feet off the pot, start a cal-mag addition to your food, calcium is like second in line in importance and usually overlooked and misdiagnosed often.
Good luck from TeamFatOnes
