I have some not far behind that and been thinking the same thing… mine had gotten mites though… been doing nightly qtip rubdowns with 9 to 1 ammonia mix to kill them off… mites are gone but I’m about where you’re at as far as growth with multiple strains. And asking the same question.

I actually think it does matter. On my first grow, I allowed some roots to be exposed and it stunted the overall growth, I think. When I see the first, tiniest show of root I move to final home. I now just use peat pods to get them to pop and as soon as I see root, into the 5 gal they go.
I had terrible luck with Solo cups and trying to transfer. Lost too much soil, too much stress on the babies, I thought.
