Living soil reuse for next grow

Hello all,

I am in the process of thinking out my third grow. Last grow I switched to living soil and my plants responded nicely and it was a good change to not have to constantly add nutes and watch ph so closely. Anyways I want to reuse my living soil and was wondering if anyone had any guidance or insight to how I can check the condition of the soil for any deficiencies so that I can amend accordingly? I know a soil test could tell me NPK levels but I’m also looking for microbial vitality. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Happy Growing!

I can recommend a book by the Rev called true living organics, he also has a u tube called Michael Paige. You can check out a channel called build a soil as well, there are episodes about amending soil. I have used the same soil for almost five years by re-amending. Good luck to you!

Great input. I’ll check both these resources out. That’s my goal to reuse the soil. My understanding is it can get better and better with time.

Thank you!
