This is my first grow, so I want to know do you trim a lot or did you leave some. I learned of LST after about a month of growing so I could not do a whole lot this time. Going to try to put two photos in here wish me luck
The bottom photo is 3 days into week 5 of Bloom. Top one is flowering also but not week 5. Had set back with green slim .e. Bubba kush fem. Which is best??
What do you mean by a set back with green slime?
Rusty, on the bottom (2nd) pic, trim off all the dead / dying undergrowth. It is robbing nutrients from your flowers. Don’t touch the fan leaves at the upper portion of the plant, they help the plant absorb the light and make the solar canopy (where photosynthesis takes place, converting light into food)
On the 1st pic, it is in better condition. I can see flowers just beginning. Thin out the underside also to create a better canopy. You want your flowering at the tops of the branches that get the light. The little bud sites underneath are almost worthless and the more you trim, the bigger the tops will be.
DO NOT TRIM MORE THAN 30% A DAY OR EVERY OTHER DAY. WAIT FOR RECOVERY BEFORE YOU TRIM AGAIN
Evidently I introduced something to my hydroponic grow and green funky slime got on everything. Took about 2 weeks to clear it up
I forgot to say on the bottom pic I had a limb break a little. So I stuck that washcloth up under it to hold it up. That is the odd looking ones coming up in front
Hi, I saw on YouTube that putting tape around stem us suggested. Haven’t broken a branch yet, so I have NO experience.
Happy growing
We can: glue, splint, mend, tape, bandaid, string up…anything to mend a broken branch. Just be gentle to not damage it any more. Many try to put it back in place and do more damage than just covering / supporting the broken area
