Is Hydroponics better for autoflower

Hydroponics is it better than soil or a medium with no soil

Well that depends on you wanting to play doctor and supply all the plants needs chemically! Hydro or you want to feed the soil & let the plant take up what she needs from the soil. You will find both side swear by their methods! Bottom line its a personal choice! If you go soil the earth box takes the guess work out of watering! :yin_yang::ballot_box_with_check::100:

I’m using coco coir and Advanced Nutrients.

It’s like in-between soil and hydro. Better yield than soil, not quite as complicated as hydro.

Right, i am familiar with the concept: i used coco and Pete Moss as 2 of the ingredients when I was making my own soil: quality of quantity i realized eventually :yin_yang:

Yes, miles better than soil, for me anyway. It took a bit to get it all dialed in but it’s pretty simple to maintain.

I guess for hobby gardeners or those seeking a low-cost method, traditional soil gardening could be more appropriate . and for commercial operations focused on speed and yield, hydroponics may be the superior choice

Hydroponics can be a fantastic option for growing autoflowering strains due to its ability to provide precise control over nutrients and water. Since autoflowers have a shorter life cycle, the efficient growth environment of hydroponics can help maximize yields and speed up growth. Additionally, the absence of soil can reduce the risk of pests and diseases. However, it requires a bit more attention and initial setup compared to traditional soil methods, so make sure you’re prepared for that!

Hydro can be really good for autos, as it induces growth much faster and allows for a better control over nutrients. Autos love, love, love consistent conditions, and hydro is where the action lies. Of course, though, it does require more monitoring than using soil, which is a little bit more forgiving. If you can handle the monitoring of pH and nutrient levels, you may very well get better results with autos by using hydro.
