I picked up this 150 watt hps fixture to try out in my 3x3. I usually plant directly into the final container.
Could someone with a similar set up give me recommendations for lamp height of each stage?

Hey, I try to keep the light about 12" above the highest plant. Seedling I might go 18" to 20" for a couple of days until they start reaching for the light. I have two 6" A.c. Infinity pole fans that blow right below my lights so the plants don’t get cooked. My inline fan has a section of duct that sucks the heat from the top of the light to outside the room. I’m running two LEds and a 400watt hps and they get hot.
So, what you have looks ok just have a fan blowing in there .
Funny, most growers start their seedlings with LEDs and then add the hps.
Now you do know that isn’t enough light to grow your plants to flowering stage as they will be leggy and not do much in the way of THC production.

I started with hps because it was cold in the tent even with my small ceramic heater.
So your saying the 150 watt hps isn’t enough for my plant?
I have some supplemental light bars. I’ll set those up and see how it goes…
