Encountering cultivation stumbling block happens to even the best of growers. No matter how meticulous one is in rearing cannabis plants, experiencing a few setbacks is inevitable.
I’d like to add a few things here too on how to treat fungus gnats organically with items you have at home while you’re waiting on your order of BTI or neem oil if you don’t already have it on hand.
Organic gnat trap: Fill mason jar halfway with apple cider vinegar or your favorite beer. Put small holes in the lid then close it up and put it in your grow space. The adult gnats will be attracted to it then crawl in and drown.
Fungus gnat larvae trap: Potato. That’s right. Just a potato. Cut a potato into 1/4s or 1/8s and then place chunks of potato in your pot or in the soil of your garden. It will pull the white almost maggot looking larvae to the surface of the soil right under the potato. The starches and sugars mimic root exudates which attracts the larvae to come feed. Check under potatoes every few hours and scoop out the larvae.
