If it is glass, you can wash it out with:
alcohol - rubbing, drinking (get a high proof…get some everclear - 190/200 proof, Bacardi 151).
If plastic…a vinegar soak (vinegar / water)

Does that mouthpiece unscrew? If so, the metal tube thing, I suspect, is the water chamber.

if it is glass and metal, clean with alcohol…rubbing ot high grade drinking. Rubbing is cheaper but if you buy everclear, you can use it to make tinctures in the future

@Adcrag that looks like an old school glass bubbler. Does it still have the rubber gromet to seal the bowl and stem to the pipe chamber? If it does you need to remove both pieces and take out the rubber grommet before you clean so the alcohol/solvent doesn’t deteriorate the rubber and ruin the seal.
If it’s just one piece follow below.
What I do to clean my glass pieces really good is I put them in a tub with some hot water (by hot I mean hot just taken off the stove top boiling) and a few drops of dawn dish soap let it soak for about an hour.
Then I take it out and rinse it and use a solution of isopropyl alcohol or acetone and rock salt in a bag and just shake it around to get the bulk of everything off.
After I finish that part I rinse it again and then I detail it with pipe cleaners and q-tips dipped in alcohol/acetone if there are still spots that need touched up.
Once I finish that I do a final rinse and dry then put everything back together.

@Adcrag you want the solutiont to get everywhere inside that pipe to clean it. It won’t hurt anything. Just rinse it really well before use so you don’t get the taste of alcohol or acetone and salt when you use it again.

And don’t be like me once or twice, forgetting to get all the flammable stuff rinsed. Makes the first hit after cleaning extra special. Hahaha! I still have hair and a face!

Been using glass tips for my joint/blunts. Probably the best thing I’ve found in recent years. Makes the old school paper roach/crutch obsolete. Easily cleaned, reusable, well until you drop it. Hits as smooth as glass of course. It just takes smoking by rolling to a whole another level.

I buy cones, they come with the built in filters. No roach clip needed, discard after every bone

We were buying a 75 pack of raw cones a month, the big container. And that’s in addition to the regular joints we smoke, plus the occasional bong RIP. Got tired of the cones, went to the super thin RAW papers after getting them in a gift box and loving them. Next box we got a glass tip, it quickly became my favorite.

I went the other way…how funny. got tired of ROLLING…filling a cone is sooo much easier. The wife could not roll so it was ALWAYS my job. Now she packs…small, medium and longs…I used to get the RAW hemp paper. Now, rice for the cones, it smokes so much more even.
The water pipe sits close by, my tincture bottles are filled weekly. She uses the PEN a lot…Gee, we go through a shit ton of weed

In all my years (and that is over 50 as a partaker), these strains relieved my pain more than any strain I have every had, without being so blown away that I was not in this universe anymore
