Fan leaves used to roll Cannagar

Anyone have a good effective way to use fan leaves to roll a joint/blunt?

I have successfully wrapped leaves around a pen, and wrapped twine around that to hold them in place as it dries. I am just not sure how much to dry the leaves before packing it with bud and lighting it. Would it make sense to put it in a sealed jar with a Bovida pack?

you can roll with fresh leaves, they are easier to manage but then you have to let them dry. I cut leaves and press (in a book between pieces of paper, then soak in sugar water, roll and let dry. The sugar helps them stick and give a little strength to the blunt so it just doesnt fall apart
