Earliest yield from a plant

I have six fast fem banners photos growing. They all started in the greenhouse and are coming along fine. I was going to go full season outdoors and let them flip naturally in the fall. I am in the north Georgia mountains and is ideal for natural outdoor grows. October is a way off and I am going to be out of pot soon!!!
I have been my own supplier since moving up here and do not know anyone to purchase from. I am too generous with my stash and have given away too much. I’m down to about 3 weeks supply.
Knowing that my stash was getting low, I brought in two that were flowering early (we had a week of rain and very overcast. 4 of the 6 began to flower but are re-vegging now).
I started the 15 minute light reduction in the tent about 3 weeks ago. I’m at 10 light/14 dark and will sit there to harvest).
My question is: when is the earliest when you can extract thc from a plant?
I’ve actually heard of people pinching off a bottom bud and smoking it right there?
I’ve also heard that vap’ing or edibles do not require drying/curing since you are not igniting the plant.
So, what can I do to hold me over until I reach full harvest with the remaining plants. I am planning to early harvest just one.

Obviously, the trikes are immature, but I am hoping to see something usable (consumable) by July 1st.

Let her grow . . . you’ll regret harvesting at any point before you see pistils beginning to turn red/brown and trichomes clouding.

Being in a similar situation, I understand the urge to cut and smoke but don’t. I’ve “sampled” immature bud before when running low or trimming excess growth . . . now anything like that goes in the compost bin.

Time to turn to those who you shared with to replenish the stash. If you can’t find weed local get some CBD flower and cut your stash to stretch it . . . that would be better smoke than anything you harvest too early.

My plan is to harvest at the appropriate time. I can’t cheat that part.
But I will vape or smoke some of the bud before curing and possibly before the full dry out.

The way I see it, the trikes are there. Drying and curing largely affect distribution and taste. But all the thc is already there, best I know. I may be wrong and often am so I am open to correction.

I don’t know about the THC being there . . . I’ve tried it enough to know that whatever is there doesn’t get you high until it begins to mature and only reaches peak potency when all trichomes are milky.

Yeah but all that happens before harvest.
I’m going to harvest at amber trikes like always.

I’m just think of short-circuiting the dry/cute cycle just as needed.

Think about it. At that point, all the THC you are going to get is already there. I don’t think doing it curing increases that. It just enhances the smoking experience, wouldn’t you agree?

Now it’s more of a science experience now. Lol

Sounds good . . . I must have misunderstood the original post. Sounded like you were planning to harvest in 2 weeks (July 1) regardless of trichome maturity due to being out of smoke.

I think drying and curing is more for smother smoke, and of course storing. I always break off a bud and smoke it when I harvest a plant

I had a lower bud that I scrapped last week. I hung the little twig like a turkey wishbone.
A couple of days ago, I mashed some of the bud into my diVinci vape. The first weird phenomenon was that my vape oven heated up almost instantly. The bud was pretty moist whereas I normally vape very dry leaf. Water holds heat a lot more than air.
The hits were horrible. I rarely cough while vaping but I doubled over after the first hit.
I continued to vape it through 2 heat cycles.
About 30 minutes later I realized I had a pretty good buzz going on.
Today, I took the remaining bud and put it in my pipe. It was still a bit wet but burned okay. I took a hit, and like the vape, it was harsh. Maybe a chemical taste. Not pleasant.
I smoked up the bowel and say there waiting. In was fearing the vape buzz might have been an anomaly, maybe from some old resin in the oven.
Hell no! I was high as a kite. I had to take a nap. It was very sativa.

With my stash getting very low, this is excellent news.
