Difference between topping and fimming

I’ve had that happen to me I’ve been known to take a squirrel out with a 30-30 just because he wouldn’t leave me alone and I got tired of shoeing it away. But that was only once the other time was a 12-gauge deer slug.

Ots the only way to hunt, IMHO. I dont use guns anymore either for hunting, just archery and atlatl. I feel it makes it more of a challenge than shooting from 100yds away. I have NOTHING against firearms or people that hunt with them, I just like to see how close I can get.

I made a ghillie suit with my dad as a kid. It took forever but I was proud of it. We did a lot of bird hunting so whenever we would get to our spot I would just strip some of the local fauna and put it on my suit.

We used to joke and call them our zoot suits because they were fancy. :joy:

This is one of the most interesting, perfect grow styles I’ve ever seen. I’m new to anything but “christmas tree style”, so this is amazing to me. I’m trying some of the methods described throughout the forum in my current grow. Using various levels of topping, fimming and LST on a few plants. Nothing aggressive - just trying to feel my way thru this. I can already see that mine won’t look ANYTHING like yours, but there’s always hope down the road.

Phenomenal job @dmtscravey!!!

I kind of feel the same way I used to do nothing but just prune leaves to try to bring my lower branches up that way. I have never tried tying one over like I did on these or fimming before but these plants are loving it the one on the left was topped then fimmed and then tied down LST Style. The one on the right was just fimmed and then I ended up tying it down because it was getting too tall. I made this net yesterday and put it up last night hope it works I’ve never used that method either. But with some guidance from a couple people on here and what little experience I have I think it’s going to be a awesome grow. Here is today’s pictures. The one on the left is starting to Bud already

Well @dmtscravey, I’m trying a few things at the moment. They’re working along the same lines as yours but not to the degree yours are growing. And yes, the people on this forum have an enormous amount of knowledge and experience that they are always ready and willing to pass on. I’ll post some pics in the next few days of my attempts.

12/23/2020 okay so I fed the girls today and I added the kelp to the mix and why did nobody tell me this was going to make my whole house smell like crap! I used 1 tbl spoon Molasses 2tbl spoons liquid kelp and 3 tbl spoons Big Bloom. I just got my tiger bloom in this afternoon and we’ll add it to the mix next feeding probably four or five days down the road.

@dmtscravey sorry man. I only use 1 tsp per gallon usually but I light feed every watering so it usually isn’t that bad. Good thing about it though is stinky dirt means stinky buds. It’s going to bring all those terps out.

Someone had to tell you that liquified seaweed stinks? Hahahahaha! Do you know where it comes from, @dmtscravey?

On hindsight, maybe I’m being an ass since I’m a person who’s from an ocean area and recognize my privilege. I mean no offense and will delete if offended.

No need to delete I used to live in Hermosa Beach in Manhattan Beach I should have known cuz kelp on the beach smells horrible anyway but I have to say liquid kelp really smells bad! LOL Anyway if it makes the girls happy I’m happy. So do you think I was a little heavy on the nutes then?

@dmtscravey yeah. A feeding that big is once every 2 to 4 weeks. So next feed just do the tigerbloom and big bloom but leave out the molasses and kelp if you feed weekly.

I hope your wife isn’t too mad with the smell. I was about to laugh at you, but then I remembered that I’m going to ferment some stinging nettle that supposedly smells and has the consistency as horse manure. I’m going to make so many friends in the neighborhood! I can’t wait!

Not at all she’s having fun with it my son showed up and she told him it was my gas LOL which I don’t have just for reference. It’s like when we make cabbage soup smells the whole house up.
