Do I need to reduce lighting time on autoflowering plants. ie 18 hrs on 6hrs off for grow period , 12 hrs on 12 hrs off for flowering.

Auto flower survives at just 5 hrs of light but we want to do more than survive. The longer the light period, the greater the growth, the higher the return. I have run auto at 24/7. I kicked down to 20/4 so they get a break. The seem to produce the same but it saves on electric, heating and rh.

For Autos, I use 20/4 or 18/6 light cycles all the way to Harvest, depending on the recommendations for that strain.
Only Photoperiods need to be switched to 12/12 to begin flowering. Otherwise, they stay in Veg state…like forever.
