Are Plants On Schedule?

First timer here. Growing your Afghan Feminized under a Viparspectra IR LED 600W. Germinated late August. Currently in 10 gallon fabric bag. 2 plants @ 18" tall. Lots of pistils. No buds. Still cycling 18/6 hours @ 50% brightness. Definitely not overwatering. ph level @ 6.5 to 7. Just started using MaxiBloom (5-14-15). Small doses strait down around the stem. I have no idea if my plants are on schedule

If you are growing a pheno and have LOTS OF PISTILS, then your lights should be 12/12 to push that flowering mode to the hilt. Pheno’s can stay in veg mode indefinitely until we switch to flower mode so aging doesn’t count. Auto’s are another story. Switch over to the 12/12 and time to change the feeding schedule and ppm’s (as you are with MaxiBloom).

Hello. I’m a Newbie here, just started my 2nd grow. I know that if your plant is a Photoperiod (I bought some of the same seeds), that you need to switch your lights to at least 12 On, 12 Off for them to flower. Otherwise you’ll keep them in a Vegetative state…literally forever. I hope someone else chimes in with this info soon, to confirm.

I would switch to 12/12 at once.

Autoflowers: They Flower when they’re ready to. Not “photo-sensitive”. I am running my Autoflower on a 20/On, 4/Off light schedule. Will let you know how it works out.

I am trying my auto on 24/0, same thing…I will let the forum know. I have GSC and she went to flower about a week ago. She seems to be doing well under the 24hr lights and it keeps my temps in the right range. I switched from the 18/6 after she got some color

Switching to 12/12 will start bloom on a photo, for example I have 4 large photos going in the room with my autos that are flowering on 18/6 with led lights on full bloom, they are growing like crazy but will not start blooming until the light cycle is changed to 12/12.

I supplement my phenos with sunlight and put them out for the night so I can keep my tent 24/7 lights on with the autos. I put them back in every morning until I get the sun. Being November, I need to get the pheno’s in the tent or I get no growth.

you could try 18/6 the autos will grow fine, I keep my photos in with my budding autos and they are doing great! Photos off to the right, lookin a lil sad they needed water but the white widows are blowin up! Gunna be chopping these this or next weekend! Then switching to 12/12 and filling the room with photos from the tent!

I did the 18/6 but still had to move my pheno’s out to prevent them from going back to veg mode and possible hermies / nannas. I went to the 24/7 cause it is just easier to leave it all on all the time. All i do is add water to my humidifier and feed here and there. I am old and feeble…Mr Fredrickson (UP the movie). I have no slaves (kids) who are willing to do the labor

After listening to Kyle’s broadcast, I am a little confused. I have been running my auto’s 24/7 as the first indicator was “They do not need rest” but his broadcast spoke of the “sleep” time needed to get the plants “PRAYING”. Is that only for Pheno’s?

I use 18/6 constantly. My autos seem to respond more to the dark period. I also time the darkness at night when it is a few degrees cooler. The girls seem to enjoy the temp change also.
