Any suggestions

@GOLLO to add to what @Mrb53004 said 24 hours brewed WITH molasses is good for microbes. 48 hours is good to develop mychos if you add them to your tea.

Always aerate as he said. If you keep a perpetual bucket going as he suggested keeping a separate one to brew other teas using the worm tea as a base would be excellent.

Ok. Sounds great. So how long will a bucket with molasses be viable?
Is mychos the same as mycorrhizae?

you get mychos from mycorrhizaeā€¦ mycorrhiza is a mutual symbiotic association between a fungus and a plant. The term mycorrhiza refers to the role of the fungus in the plantā€™s rhizosphere, its root system. Mycorrhizae play important roles in plant nutrition, soil biology and soil chemistry

If you keep the bucket aerated, it will last longer. Be aware, the PH will change as the sugars create a bacteria beneficial environment. It is so cheap, I would only mix a drop at a timeā€¦no need to have this large reservoir of backup molasses treated solution sitting around. 1 / 2 days is about what you want to brew upā€¦
You are using living soil, you added organic soil on top of that. Do not think you need to molasses water every wateringā€¦like everything else, less is better. If it ā€œainā€™t broke, donā€™t fix itā€
I do NOT use living soil. I use more molasses towards the end of my grows to set the soil up for composting for 6 mos out use, even a year. Even then, I only WATER once or twice a month with it.
I add it more to my foliar spraysā€¦I like kelp and molasses as a foliar. Plants do a great job absorbing through their leaves. I build my soil and love the amendments that come from molasses, not necessarily the sugars for mychos

OK. I dig. Less is better. A 5 gal bucket of PHā€™d h2o, and worm poop can sit in the garage, aerated, using it as a base. Another smaller bucket can aerate the worm tea + mychos for
48+ hours.

OK. How 'bout this idea, and MDBuds or anyone reading this can opine on the subject.
I have a bin next to my grow cabinet that I currently use for RO water. It holds about 10-12 gals.
Can I use it as my perp h2o?
The poop does not smell, and I have a circulating pump in the bin to circulate h2o.
The tea would therefore be at room temp.
Could/does using a DI filter with RO h2o make much difference?
Is RO enough?

What say yā€™all?

I want to THANK YOU & MDBuds in particular, but everyone in general for all the love yā€™all give to people with your SCIENTIFIC, LOGICAL, albeit personal ways of growing medicine.

I have learned from yā€™all that allowing the girls to TALK while I LISTEN & OBSERVE makes the experience infinitely more personal, and therefore pleasing to me.

I am into my 2nd month of dispensary-free living, and my spirits & wallet are SOME of the beneficiaries.

Peace be unto yā€™all & yours,
G

I always like to have fresh clean untreated water ready and waiting. Quick action can help prevent a disaster. I keep many containers of water ready, sealed and one aerated for use. I use separate ones for; Tea, Worm juice tea (My worm farm setup has a bottom container I added a drain plug. I water my top container and it flows through 2 containers to the catch basin underneath it all.
My Tea lives outside as I use leaves, clippings, sometimes manure, fish emulsionā€¦I allow it to ferment a little.
My worm tea lives in my garage. It gets too hot here to keep them outside, I would lose all my wormsā€¦

Do you worry about weeds & weed seeds getting into your compost?

no, compost piles need to heat up to 140f for the proper conditions necessary to process the material within it. The heat and occasional turning makes seeds sprout and die. They provide some of the base nutrients of the compost. That is why we add: Greens - nitrogen, Yellow & Red, etc (Fruits) - P & K, browns (leaves, sticks, etc)

Thanks man. As always, great with the info, and a great ambassador for the human race. You always give, never asking for yourself.

Peace, bra.

Hey man, I gotta say that the kelp as a foliar spray seems to have helped. It is very difficult to spray without getting on the buds. Next time, I will use just before they start to flower.
I did add some to my worm tea and will serve it up the next time I water.
Peace

It is a dilemmaā€¦I like foliar spraying my plants. Ph is not affected as the nutrients and amendments are absorbed directly into the plant through the leaves
Best time for spraying is before lights out and/or lights on. Plants are more capable of absorption at these times.
Got to keep the fans going to help prevent mold and try not to get the BUDS VERY WETā€¦a small sprayer is best and getting SOME of the leaves is good. The absorption will bring desired effects into the plant. Just as they drink through the roots and feed the entire plant, same goes for leaf absorption.

I thought you had pruned on purpose a sitting dog, lol. I thought, now thereā€™s a real talent, shaping our greenies into art,
.

Havenā€™t I heard that before ?
